A Massachusetts law professor has created a campus firestorm with an email to colleagues that declares it would be “shameful” to send care packages to U.S. troops “who have gone overseas to kill other human beings.”

This guy is disgusting, but at least he brings the issue up, what much of the pompous left has tried to hide since 9/11, that they are really all America-hating subversives....

I well remember Katha Pollit’s (writer for leftist rag “The Nation”) agonies after 9/11 that her daughter would dare to want to display a US flag...... and of course who can forget Obama’s pals like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
This is the guy that attended university in MOSCOW, USSR, from I think 67-68. What does this dirt bag teach, anyway? He’s a commie through and through ....

Being deployed from April thru mid Sept of this year, care packages kept me going and kept me sane.
I was so happy to get a box, break it open and share the toys, cards, candy, etc. with my troops.

Went to read article and note that this man stated this crap in an email (not in the classroom) to colleagues at the law school where he works. His name is Michael Avery-and HE is a LAW PROFESSOR? Our culture and history are under attack everywhere-we are in such trouble.
God bless you, Jet. You’re a hero in my book. The prof in this article is one I’d call a weasel, aside from how embarrassing the weasels in nature would find that. This is obviously one of those who forget that his freedom was never free. Many paid the price.

I hate to disagree with yet another shyster lawyer but I’ve got a different idea of what “shameful” is. “Shameful” is a scumbag president and dumbass vice president sending their wives to Homestead this weekend to be the grand marshalls at the final NASCAR race and pretending to be doing it “for the troops”. My daughter and her husband got back from iraq about 2 years ago. Him after his 3rd tour. Grandma and I watched their babies.
We still proudly fly their blue star in our window.

I hope he teaches at a private university. Otherwise, it means he’s on the public payroll, which would be doubly appalling. He’s obviously unfit to be a professor, even though he has the right to freedom of speech, which is protected in part by the very soldiers he vilifies.

Avery is a red. He was listed as the president of the old Communist Party USA legal front, the National Lawyers Guild, in 2006, and testified against the nomination of Samuel Alito for the Supreme Court, along with NLG Ex. Director Heidi Boghosian, another open red.
Also testifying at the hearing was future NLG president Majorie Cohn, and former Military Intelligence office turned turncoat, Christopher Pyle. All teach law.
Avery also cowrote a chapter in a book, “Police Misconduct, Law and Litigation” , along with Karen Blum (whose name rings a red bell), and David Rudovsky. Rudovsky, a radical leftist, was a colleague of David Kairys, avowed marxist attorney, and member of the CPUSA legal front, the National Emergency Civil Liberties Committee (NECLC). See the online database on the Left, “www.keywiki.org”, Search for “National Lawyers Guild”, for some names. You’ll see many of them listed there.

What we have with Avery is a very dangerous law professor, along with Cohen and Kairys, among other reds in academia.

The bad news is that there are hundreds of marxists and communist law professors teaching future lawyers. These “red termites” are directly responsible for the undermining of our Constitution and of our defense and internal security programs, and you see what that has led to.

Sending packages to the Troops is something I have done for years, and all were so happy to get them.
It was it’s own reward to know that it made our Troops happy.
The REAL shame, is this silly sissy filling our young ones heads with that tripe.
They never think about the mean and women who died to keep them free, and the never think about our active military.
What they do for us, the families they leave behind, the exhaustion and stress of war.
Pay him no mind..
