Couple of people I know are young NYPD foot patrol officers. They LOVE this assignment, most overtime they’ve ever had... even though it’s the smallest protest they ever were assigned to patrol/guard. The OWS crowd has been overall non-violent to those not involved in the drama.

That area when not hosting a protest is probably the safest area on NYC, Zuccotti Park turned into a gilded cage as soon as NYPD got a grasp of the protest.

People are probably safer being near the Fukushima Plant, than being close to the occupiers.

Definately; it’s basically stating that pockets of the US are too unsafe for citizens of their nation, similar to when the US told its citizens to avoid Egypt.

I walked around the OLD CITY in Jerusalem, and took the public transportation alone, as my hubby was back at the hotel with “Hezekiah’s Revenge”.

I would not DREAM of doing the same thing in NYC. Of course, the last time I was THERE, Dinkins was the mayor.

The occupiers have plunged the city back into the cesspool it became under that buffoon.

The idea that NYC would allow a “ Victory Mosque” after that horror of 9/11 speaks volumes about its inhabitants : )

It does indeed.

The mosque near my house was raided by the FBI, by the way. It seems it was funneling great piles of money to the Pakistani Taliban.

The Coral Springs Mosque is also a “Victory Mosque”. It was erected a few blocks from the last known residence of Mohamed Ata.

So far, I seem to be the only one in S. FL who has made this connection, and of course, people think I am nuts for saying it. (sigh)
