the OWS protest area is the safest area in Manhattan, lower Manhattan already had the highest density of police per square mile in the US outside of the Washington DC Mall, and the Occupy Protest area has tripled the numbers of law enforcement in the immediate vicinity.

I like the last line of the warning, ‘if you see and hear a commotion, definitely don’t go over and be a looky-lo.’

The Wall street area is teeming with cops now. Even the bull has his own NYPD guard. The other day, school was closed in New Jersey so I went there with a friend and our two teenaged daughters. It was the highlight of our day , more fun than Central Park, skating at Rock Center and seeing Danielle Radcliff in "How to Succeed."

After getting Broadway show tickets at the South Street Seaport TKTS (no line) we strolled over to Zuccotti Park. It was like a street fair, a party atmosphere. We got some great photos including one of the girls with someone in a Guy Fawkes mask. These guys could make a fortune charging $5 for photos like that.

There were some vendors selling OWS tee shirts which I briefly considered buying as a gag gift for my husband. But as we looked at the tee-shirts, a protestor casually walked by with a sign saying "these vendors do not contribute to Occupy Wall Street."

When we were leaving, I asked a group of New York's finest if I could take their picture. They happily obliged.

All in all it's a great tourist attraction. The city should try to make money off it. LOL!
