In an hour-long special on Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Arizona) and her miraculous recovery, ABC's Diane Sawyer ruined it in a segment about the Congresswoman's political future.
Sawyer praised the Congresswoman as being "upbeat" during the "unsettling" 2010 campaign season in which she received "vitriol" from her constituents. Sawyer then linked these events to someone shooting her office door while including a sound of a gun being shot. Continuing, Sawyer says Giffords was "targeted" by Sarah Palin. Cue video of Palin speaking and the ad which had a cross-hair on Giffords' district. Transcript below:
DIANE SAWYER: "So does Gabby Giffords really want to go back to Washington? Back where she was once called 'the most positive person in Congress.'
"Staying upbeat, even during the unsettling campaigns of 2010. When we all watched opposition sometimes become vitriol. After she voted for health care, she faced people in her district calling her a 'traitor,' booing her in town halls.

Setting aside all the "feel good" crap, Gifford's constituents haven't had any representation since she was shot. If she cared at all, she would've resigned.
So, they are going to continue to slander Sarah for something a Bush hating, Christian hating, liberal did?

Apparently, Sawyer didn't suffer any permanent injury on Halloween.
Maybe MSM is afraid that Palin will rise again.
Maybe Sawyer has a bad case of Palin envy.
An unscrupulous mis-portrayal of Palin.
Sawyer's world view and mindset undermined what was, otherwise, an interesting and sympathetic story of a human being who is overcoming great odds in battling brain injury. All who have dealt with a family member suffering from such injury, whether by accident, stroke, or other disease can identify with such a remarkable story.
By bringing Palin into this story, Sawyer revealed her own "progressive" mindset, which is tone deaf to how most Americans think and feel--a mindset that includes that of the current President and members of his "progressive" Senate and House members who go out of their way to insult ordinary Americans who subscribe to ideas different than their own.
Items like this make me truly dispise the left.
Giffords owes Palin an apology. Period.
Aw hell, we may as well say it: Sarah Palin used the floo network to teleport to Tuscon, shot Giffords and everyone else, then cast a confuzzle charm over the crowd to remove all memory and apparated back to Alaska seconds later.
Well, it makes as much sense as any of the rest of this crap, as long as we’re just making stuff up, may as well plagarize at the same time, eh? /sarc
Sawyer should be FIRED!
Someone should ask her if she has ever molested any kids!
Is anyone else sick of hearing about Gabby Giffords?
I’m sad she was shot, and glad she is on the road to recovery. I’m disgusted she has chosen not to resign and is thus depriving her citizens of representation.
I suppose it’s admirable that her husband didn’t ditch her in her hour of need like her fellow ‘Rat Edwards did. Yeah, it takes a little courage to get through each day on the road to recovery. Tragedy sucks.
So let’s take a hard look some of the thousands of American soldiers and Marines who are coming back home with pieces missing and shattered lives (if they come home at all). Or even those who make it back OK after giving a huge chunk of their lives with their familes away in order to serve their country. How about the medics and surgical staff’s who put them back together and rush them home for treatment? How about the air crews, the carrier support group crews, the grunts on the ground living in the dirt, fighting every day while Gabby’s fellow traitors undermine their progress and squander the results of their sacrifice at every opportunity.
There’s courage. There are some lives to be admired. Lets start seeing those stories in depth and give the Gabby story a rest. OK, Diane?
