Seven doctors who wrote sick notes for protesters get reprimands (WI fake notes)

Seven doctors who wrote sick notes for protesters at the state Capitol in February received reprimands Wednesday by the state Medical Examining Board.

Two other doctors got administrative warnings, which aren't considered disciplinary action as the reprimands are.

The medical board voted 6-3 to approve the reprimands for the six doctors from UW-Madison. The board voted 6-4 to reprimand the other doctor, from Dean Clinic. A board member from the university's doctor group abstained from the first vote.

Two of the board members who voted no said they weren't allowed to talk publicly about why.

The reprimands go on the doctors' permanent records and will "result in a permanent and lifelong blemish on these physicians' licenses," said Patricia Epstein, a Madison attorney representing two of the doctors.

Wonder how many sick days the doctors are going to be talking while their wrists heal up?

So 3 people thought politics was more important than the practice of medicine?

Only a ‘Rat would believe that is OK.

Should have jerked their licenses for misdiagnosis.

The censured doctors will now, no doubt, refer to themselves as the “Madison Seven”.

Big deal. They should have been charged with forgery, a felony.

Right. They got nothing more than NOTHING. Lost licenses should have been the real solution. Our side is too easy on morally corrupt asses.

OK...

They wrote illegitimate absence excuses for people who were not even their patients (not, I believe, actions included in a doctor's job description). Which,

Allowed those non-patients (union members) to,

Assemble in a protest aiming to overturn the actions of a duly elected government and,

By so doing they hypothetically (remember, union workers) cost several businesses/agencies in man-hours and salaries and,

Any losses, fiscal or societal, can never be recovered by any of the victims.

For this they get a reprimand??

...said they weren't allowed to talk publicly about why.

Why not? The crimes were in public - for the public.

Nah, this is really series. The Board also, off the record, told the Red-docs that if there were any more similar infractions, they may be placed on double secret probation.

They need to be sentenced to seeing only patients who have a chief complaint of “everything hurts”.

If you don’t understand my punishment, as a joke, tell that to your family doctor the next time you pay him a visit and he has a full waiting room. Focus on his face when you hit him with that line.

In my practice that would be equivalent to "Doctor, I'm always dizzy!"

She should have their licenses revoked and banned from practicing medicine for the rest of their lives.

As it should be. THEY LIED! And suborned others in lying.
