Mike McQueary never once went to the Penn State campus police OR the State College PD after witnessing Jerry Sandusky allegedly rape a 10-year-old boy in 2002 -- this according to reps for both departments.
According to CBS, neither police bureau has any record of being contacted by Mike McQueary -- despite recent claims McQueary made in an email ... "I did have discussions with police and with the official at the university in charge of police."

Not a Happy Valley, now.
Yeah. And if he did and the cops did nothing, the cops would be equally culpable. Nobody can be believed here.
But hey, let’s pay attention because it will create jobs, won’t it?
Strictly a distraction for anyone other than the participants.

Nothing “on the record,” they mean.
They probably called Joe Pa for guidance on that.
I’m a firm believer that people can walk and chew gum at the same time.
I am interested in job creation AND PEDOPHELIA at the same time.
Just for the record, In your headline it’s Penn State Police not Penn Police
Maybe a correction by the Mods is in order?
The cops are in on the coverup.
I can’t speak for McQueary or Paterno or the others ... but if I went to the police and said I walked into the gym and hear the “slap-slap” of sexual activity and saw Sandusky abusing the boy ... then I waited weeks, months and years with nothing happening, I would take it higher.
I totally agree.
If the D.A. was working on the case back in the 90’s and ended up missing in action, don’t you think that the police were somehow and sometime during that period called in to investigate the case? Wouldn’t they be brought into working the case at the same time the D.A. was actively involveda? Don’t you think the Board of Trustees for Penn State when this D.A. was working on the case, would be notified that there is a potential child molester working in the Atlectic Dept? Also wouldn’t you think that at that time Sandusky’s name would be on the police’s radar. Why wasn’t he being carefully watched at that time?
Whoever ends up in charge of this investigation sure has their work cut out for them. Don’t know if anybody can be believed.
These are not exactly public thoroughfares but there are presumably athletes going in and out of the showers from practice sessions all day long!
So why did this guy think he could get away with the practice?
One conclusion is everybody else he encountered was of the same inclination.
Yep...
At least for the attack witnessed by McQueary, it was long after anyone would normally have been around: 9:30 PM. The locker room was dark, and McQueary noticed the lights on in the showers, which was unusual.
As I look across the room at my 10 year old son, I guarantee that we’d be talking about Sandusky in past tense and I would be proud to accept the legal rammifications.
I’m suprised a father hasn’t already shot him with buckshot right between the legs and left to bleed out in agony.
The OP used the actual headline from the source (misleading as it is), which is in accordance with the FR rules.

I went to the link and that’s how it’s titled there. But the article itself doesn’t help much. It refers to the “Penn State campus police OR the State College PD”. I didn’t realize they had two police departments on campus.
As a result of anally raping a 20-year old in the Penn State locker room, Paterno takes Sandusky's locker room keys.
McQueary continues to work for the Penn State athletic department and after graduating from graduate school becomes an administrative assistant for the football program. A year later, in 2004, McQueary is hired onto Joe Paterno's staff as the wide receivers coach.
The NCAA limits the number of assistant coaches a football team can have. Most of the time graduate assistants move on to assistant coaching jobs at smaller Division 1AA or Division 2 schools. Will Muschamp went from Auburn as a grad assistant to Division 2 West Georgia as an assistant coach.
One would think McQueary would just want to get the Hell out of Happy Valley for a few years. Instead, he became another participant in the ongoing Sandusky cover-ups.
I smell a payoff: "Just keep quiet Mike, and you'll be on the staff as soon as job opens up."
I also think Sandusky will go nuclear when things get bad. He will sell all kinds of dirt on the Penn State program to pay his legal bills.
Gricar, the DA who elected not to prosecute Sandusky in 1998 didn't disappear until April 15, 2005. It was two weeks after he'd announced that an investigation had cracked a major drug ring. And he may have committed suicide by drowning, as he car was found at a riverside. His brother previously committed suicide by drowning.
Gricar allegedly dislike Penn State and Penn State football and held a grudge. He may have had good reason not prosecute Sandusky, as Victim #6 was never sexually abused by Sandusky, only hugged, which is wrong but not necessarily illegal - and we don't know what else Gricar was able to find out about Sandusky. He may have felt people were holding out on the investigators. And he may have felt that Sandusky's position and Penn State's power kept people from talking.
But Gricar didn't disappear until almost exactly seven years after the phone calls that triggered the Victim #6 investigation, and most than six years after Gricar decided not to prosecute.
Well, Penn is not the same as Penn State
I think he kills himself ...; unless the tell all is explosive.
Okay but wouldn’t the Police be involved are somehow notified about Victim#6 which would put Sandusky’s name on the police radar at that time? Certainly if McQueary notifies the police on a second case wouldn’t or shouldn’t that register BIGTIME on the police’s radar?
So now the question is, did he really talk to anybody about it? How do we know who he actually told, and who he didn’t, if he keeps saying he told people and they keep saying he didn’t?
Thinking the same thing about Sandusky walking around.
I think the whole idea now is to create massive confusion for all so that those who have been and are covering this thing up have all the more time to dig in deeper....some will run away I think if they haven’t already. But we won’t be reading about them...me thinks allota cash is going to cross palms....
yup. There’s a data destroyer dude on the board of the Second Mile. It’s his specialty.
Some of these schools have athletic/sports centers that run 24/7.
Actually, Curley and Schultz told McQueary they were taking Sandusky's keys to the showers. Paterno was missing from the equation.
And given that molestations of the eight victims apparently occurred in the Lasch building showers (including the 2002 anal rape) and the "East Area Locker Room" next to Holuba Hall (for example, Victim #5; I don't the East Area Locker Room is the Lasch Building), I'm not certain they got all of Sandusky's keys.
The whole thing smells Clintonish. Paterno transfers the ownership of his house to his wife for $1 in July while the grand jury is investigating. Ass’t coach said he contacted the police but they have no “record” on file. My guess is that the whole athletic staff, local police, Penn State Administration, big alumni bunch, Two Mile management and a good percentage of Happy Valley are in on it and covering it up!
Sandusky asserts he has no record of molesting any boys. I guess that wraps it up.
The cover up gets murkier.
The whole thing stinks.
This coverup his some shrewd directors, I suspect.
They can’t keep it wrapped. The other higher ed institutions in PA are competing for survival in a time of extremely tight budgets. They’ll attack on all fronts, and some inner players will seek refuge within a different college town and establishment.
The Gay Mafia has a lot of money and power to toss around, but times they are a changing.
Well, Paterno himself said that he was told that Sandusky and the victim were “horsing around”. But denies he was ever told there was sexual activity.
First off, I wish everyone involved would stop using the antiquated and arcane “horsing around” and tell us what that really means.
And, Paterno just retained legal counsel in case ‘horsing around” means “we don’t want to admit what Sandusky’s doing.
They’re all covering their asses. Fact: Some how a Center County (Where PSU main campus is located) Grand Jury was convened and heard the evidence. For the Campus Police, State College Police and/or PA State to try to claim they did not know about it is as credible as Sandusky’s denying he did anything wrong.
Some have already conjectured the judge who awared the no money bond—and who was a volunteer at Sandusky’s foundation—did so in the hope he would kill himself.
He may do that yet. But I think his being told by Paterno he would not succeed him as head coach may drive him to revenge first. Once he realizes he can’t just blow this off he will give up all his secrets. Unless some party or parties insure he cannot do so.
I think there may be some very powerful and rich people involved here. Is there a murderer among them? Time will tell.
Is anyone else wondering why Mike McQueary hasn’t been fired already?
You might want to reword that last sentence. :)
Paterno DID say that he was told the contact was sexual. From the Grand Jury Presentment:
“Joseph V. Paterno testified to receiving the graduate assistants report at his home on a Saturday morning. Paterno testified that the graduate assistant was very upset. Patemo called Tim Curley (Curley), Penn State Athletic Director and Patemos immediate superior, to his home the very next day, a Sunday, and reported to him that the graduate assistant had seen Jerry Sandusky in the Lasch Building showers fondling or doing something of a sexual nature to a young boy.”
You're right.
I'm guessing he's getting immunity from the DA in return for his eye-witness testimony in open court. That's why there is no mention of arresting him.
Penn St. may be keeping him on staff to keep his mouth shut about all the other people who knew about Sandusky & for how long. It could gut the athletics dept.
It has been mentioned here that Penn St. has a very liberal attitude toward queers. It is likely that there has been far more going on in the showers & steam rooms - staff on staff, & staff on student, than just Sandusky. All those sweaty, half-naked bodies .... McQueary & others could probably write a very long book.
It wouldn't take much reporting of this to make Penn St. look like a cheap San Francisco bathhouse. That could bring the entire school down.
I do not envy the new president of Penn St. There must be an awful lot of his employees who know everything about the perversions in the athletics dept. & elsewhere in the system. If he starts firing every employee who knew about Sandusky & beyond, the tabloids are gonna have a bumper crop of tips, stories, & people wanting their 15 minutes of fame, & CASH.
Yep. There was another guy who came out today saying he was sexually abused by some professor there. He went to the administration about it and they refused to even listen to the guy, let alone investigate anything! And this guy has the professor on tape admitting it!
Same here, I've got a terrific 12 year old son and nobody better mess with him. I remember from years ago how the father on this video handled the pervert that kidnapped and molested his son:
Father of Kidnapped Son gets Revenge
Jury gave the father 5 years probation.
