Lobbyists for a day, a band of millionaires stormed Capitol Hill on Wednesday to urge Congress to tax them more...

"If you think the federal government can spend your money better than you can, then by all means" pay more in taxes than you owe, said Grover Norquist, of Americans for Tax Reform, a group that has gotten almost all congressional Republicans to pledge to vote against tax hikes. The IRS should have a little line on the form where people can donate money to the government, he suggested, "just like the tip line on a restaurant receipt." ...

Yup, please tax us more so we can move more jobs overseas (and then get the massive tax breaks).

This is bogus.
Their income won’t be taxed.
Ours will.

I smell a setup. there is NOTHING . . . . N O T H I N G to prevent these people from sending all the money to the government they want to send.

The fact is, they are Dem activists and this is all an orchestrated “show” to try to put pressure on the ‘Pubbies.

I fully expect the ‘Pubbies to cave.

No you miss the point, liberals want to use taxation to bring economic fairness. Millionaires are not Billionaires, but if you tax them enough then the Billionaires could become Millionaires..... Same with us eoncomic equality for the Middleclass means tax us enough until we are equal with the poor. Then you have 2 Americas the rich overseers who control the government and the working class who are controlled by government.

Welcome to the American Marxist revolution led by Mr. Obozo.

We should go further. Any public statement calling for an increase in taxes should be considered a personal pledge to pay more in taxes and available for collection by the IRS.

Anybody who asks to be taxed more is a liar and a fraud. The implication is that they want to pay more taxes, but they can’t, because the government won’t let them. Total crock! They can pay a 100% tax if they want to, and nobody will stop them.

Either pay more on your own, or shut the heck up!

Dig this. Sure they want their taxes raised, because they treat their taxes as a cost, and figure it into the price of doing business...and collect every penny of those taxes they’ll have to pay from their customers or clients. And that price of doing business has overhead and PROFIT added on to the costs. So they earn profit on the taxes, which they collect FROM the customer or client and pass on to the gov’t. So...they are such greedy amoral bleeps that they’re willing to put on that deceitful act and stick it to us so they can make more money. It’s just a joke to them. Really. Pass this on to the Occupiers and we can turn them into anti-taxers.

I want a list of laws and taxes that congressmen are exempt from that we must pay or pay penalties for. The first is the insider trading law—unbelievable that they can do that and us peasants down here will go to jail for it. I truly despise those people.

Absolutely true, but they won’t put their money where their mouths are. (A mere $3.3 billion this year so far.)

Millionaires on Capitol Hill: Please tax me more!

Yep! That's why they all voluntarily pay extra taxes every year.

Make them open their books completely. If they used even one tax deduction, and I’m sure they have their tax attorneys load them up with deductions, then tell them “quit taking your deductions. There, I just raised your taxes.”

These jackasses know it will be somebody else’s taxes that are raised. There is a reason celebrities like Oprah and Streisand have permanent residences in low tax states and not in California, where they spend much of their time.

Pure hypocrites to the core.
