What Could End Rush Limbaugh's Career?
Townhall.com ^ | 11/17/2011 | Michael Brown

Posted on 11/17/2011 10:04:23 AM PST by servo1969

It was surprising to hear Rush Limbaugh say the words, “I don’t have the guts to bring it up,” but he did, on November 8th, to his massive radio audience.

Rush Limbaugh lacking the guts to address something publicly? Rush Limbaugh not willing to tackle controversy? Really?

He was responding to a statement by a caller named Lawrence as they discussed Joe Paterno and the scandal at Penn State.

CALLER: “What’s that?”

RUSH: “Nobody has the guts to actually give the explanation for what was going on and why there was trepidation in reporting it, and that's all I'll say. If you can figure it out on your own, fine and dandy. . . .”

What was Rush talking about?

Let’s put this in context. If there is any prominent figure in America who does not bow down to political correctness or media pressure, it is Rush Limbaugh. In fact, he’s on record as saying that when people try to silence you, you should shout louder.

-snip-

What is it that, in his words, could end his career? What is it about the Penn State scandal that is “glaring; it's right in front of everybody,” and yet “Nobody has the guts to actually give the explanation for what was going on and why there was trepidation in reporting it”?

Yes! Part of the homosexual agenda is to lower the age of consent.

The homosexual community in the US shuns NAMBLA and does not want to talk about the issue, but the same activist groups in Europe and elsewhere have worked hard to lower the age of consent in many countries, succeeding in most to lower the age to 14 years old.

What I thought he meant was that Sandusky was treated with kid gloves (no pun intended) for so many years because those in power were afraid of being portrayed as anti-gay if they went after him.

Oh this is so easy...my guess is that if you report such a thing in a liberal milieu like academia you’re likely to be accused of hate speech against gays and then be fired.

Does any one doubt that what we’re talking about at Penn State is homosexuality? There, I said it!

Rush has been AWOL on the rabid homosexual agenda since at least 1990.

He’s dead silent about it.

I think Michael Brown is over stating that Rush is scared to attack this, or that it could “end his career.”

Rush is fearless, but he picks his battles. This battle is quintessentially something Michael Brown is passionate about. It’s in his wheelhouse so to speak.

It is not squarely in Rush’s wheelhouse - especially in the days of Obama, Reid and Pelosi and a GOP nomination fight.

I can only guess at what Rush was implying and I believe that implication was that the Penn State football program is more important than anything and that includes child molestation. Just my interpretation, you understand.

I will say what I think it could be.

It could be that nobody wants to touch the homosexual child abuse angle. The media will talk about this as a child abuse scandal in general terms, without specifying that this is a case of same-sex abuse.

The gay pressure groups were active with the media in the Catholic Church scandal. Though most of the victims were boys and young men, the media downplayed that fact, and always referred to it as a child abuse scandal in general terms, without specifying who the victims were.

I personally was banned from another message board, because I expressed shock and anger at homosexual rape in this case. I was flamed by many, who said that it would be just as bad if he had raped girls, and that abuse and assault are bad no matter who the victims are, and that talking about the “gay” issues was wrong of me.

I’ve listened to Rush since 1991. Every year someone says he is doomed...for 20 years.

Correction:

The homosexual “community” pretends to shun NAMBLA. Internally, they have no problem with pederasty.

Maybe he figures that while confronting Penn State/Sandusky as child abuse will win support from everyone, whereas suggesting it has a homosexual angle could cost him affiliates and/or advertizers?

Unrelated: On last nights “American Horror Story”, the realtor made a Freudian slip saying “the home was completely redecorated by the previous homos....I mean homeowners”. I had to laugh out loud, and surprised they left the line in.

Rush is not “fearless”. I started listening to him in the late 80s when he was in Sacramento. Over the years he got mainstream. There are so many issues he doesn’t touch, or didn’t, when I stopped listening to him.

He never touches the rabid homo agenda which is destroying our Constutional freedoms of speech, religion and association, for starters.
