I am a Tea Party member and I don't ever recall Newt Gingrich being a Tea Party Darling.

Most Tea Party Members in my part of the State think he's a Rino and a Political Predator.

Let's see...he was a private citizen, who formed a consulting group, and marketed his expertise to many corporations including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. His fees by DC standards were modest (Cf half a billion to the sham empty shell corp Solyndra). All perfectly legal. No he did not lobby congress on any of it. So what's the beef? You got something against free enterprise?

-—”His campaign has said that he did no lobbying; but his consultancy practice was centered around his ability to help big corporate interests speak the language of Republicans and navigate the corridors of Capitol Hill on issues vital to their businesses.”-—

So the NY Times is now admitting that big corporate interests have to be TAUGHT the language of Republicans?

This is first time I have ever heard them admit that corporations speak Democrat as their native tongue.

In DC, they’re all whores.

They certainly are. Very, very few exceptions.

I don't know what Newt did for GE - you will have to ask his Campaign if they will release that information.

All I have done reference an article that lists his clientele.

Your assumptions - not mine.

Fred,

it is only since certain Freepers decided to try and assassinate Newt that I learned just how many people here have a problem with capitalism.

Frightening, really.

Next we’ll hear that he gave advice to......gasp.....tobacco companies!

He was a private citizen. Everything he did was legal and ethical. What the hell more do you need to defend? You jealous that he made so much more money than you? Pathetic.

When he mentions the $$$ savings we all know what that means.

People that know what a NO CODE is no how it USE to be determined. In consultation with the family etc.

The advance directive while it has good points, is a license to bypass family. That is unacceptable.

How very phony of you. You try to impugn via vacuous innuendo and someone calls your hand, then you play alinskyesque feint to try and run away from your exposure.

I read something earlier today that Gingrich has attended all these TP events and was a TP favorite. But then I let down my guard and believed something I read in the media. Self Slap!

True, but you cannot run around saying you support smaller government and less spend, while you are doing everything you can to slop the crony pigs.

It is frightening, and disappointing. We are really dealing with the B-Team here, and a very thin bench behind it. The gross ignorance of basic conservative free market concepts, and the total vacuum regarding simple ethical and legal issues, is pathetic.

Gingrich was never a lobbyist of any kind.

Factually wrong to call him a lobbyist.
