Some day I’d like to see Obama face a little “scrutiny”. I guess it is tough when the “media” is always too busy kissing his @$$ and licking the bottoms of his feet all of the time.

Well Well, Newt lobbying for DEATH PANELS.

Well, well, other than Newt did NO lobbying, and the consulting he work he did do had NOTHING to do with "DEATH PANELS", you are right on the mark! LOL

Seriously, if you are going to try to smear someone, try to sneak SOMETHING that's true in among your lies.

To all those that want to maintain the status quo of corporate welfare, crony capitalism, pork barrel spending, etc etc etc It is this simple:

To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead. ~ Thomas Paine

Get use to these posts. I am enjoying the denial.

The current occupant in the WH can’t stand the light of truth shinning in his direction, that’s why folks post silly little articles by lefties on these boards. They don’t want to talk about 9% unemployment, 15 trillion dollar debt, marxism of obama and the dems, failed economy, failed president, failed liberal agenda, no jobs, food stamp use highest rate ever, graft at the federal reserve, graft in the WH, graft in Congress and the list goes on.

obama has been and is an utter failure and they fear all the reppublican candidates but they fear Newt most of all becaue he will get in their faces and they know it. They have treid to destroy Herman Cain and these lefties will get on conservative boards and try to destroy all of our candidates if we let them.

obama’s butt whoppin is coming in 2012 and I “ain’t” gonna let’em forget it..

Technically, these are not “death panel” scenarios. What Palin referred to is the direction that all government-centered health services eventually take in which PANELS of bureaucrats end up making decisions as to who gets what type of - if any - medical care. It’s the whole “Quality of Life” thrust that was proposed by Ezekiel Emmanuel, MD (yes, Rahmbo’s brother).
Advanced directives are, on the other hand, essentially, choices made by the patient in which they indicate that they do not wish to have “heroic” measures once that time comes. These are very common and in widespread use. Again, though, in attempts to rein in astronomically exploding health care costs, government will occasionally float this concept balloon (didn’t O try this with the VA system recently?). Theoretically, there’s really nothing too onerous about Advanced Directives. It’s only when the big hand of government starts forcing them on people when it becomes completely objectionable. But, as a physician, I feel there’s nothing wrong with educating people about ADs - docs do this all the time with patients/families.
Before we get too hyperbolic, let’s make sure terminology and characterization are accurate.

What’s wrong with imparting knowledge and getting paid for it?

Teachers and so-called Journalists do that all the time.

The only one playing word games is Newt:

“Newt’s vision didn’t change to meet the needs of his clients,” Mr. Hammond said. “They came to the Center for Health Transformation because they wanted to learn and understand the free market ideas Newt was putting forward.”

Hoping to air out Mr. Gingrich’s corporate work as quickly as possible so it is no longer a major issue by the time the Iowa caucuses roll around, his campaign was in the process of releasing the names of more of his clients, which include Microsoft, General Electric and I.B.M.

His campaign could not answer questions that have arisen — first in The Washington Examiner — about whether he represented the pharmaceutical trade group, Phrma, given that he had been a vocal advocate of President Bush’s 2003 prescription drug benefit for the elderly. Now often criticized by conservatives as a costly expansion of Medicare — and thus, potentially problematic for Mr. Gingrich — many Republicans supported the measure at the time as a way to increase prescription coverage by relying on the private market.

Phrma on Thursday released a statement confirming that it had hired Mr. Gingrich “on a positioning project,” though it did not provide exact dates or specifics.

A spokesman for Gundersen said it had signed on with Mr. Gingrich’s Center for Health Transformation as it sought help communicating its position on end-of-life care and other practices.

The sheeple following the the Bell to the slaughterhouse. AS USUAL.
