Prior to the 1970s, a 47 year-old man having a "frank and open" discussion about sexual intercourse with teenagers who weren't his children would have been considered a pervert and would probably have been arrested for corrupting the morals of a minor.

Today, he's a "teacher" in an extremely exclusive school who gets paid to do this and is lauded by the "newspaper of record".

Sickening.

I should state, for the record, that this particular teacher used to be employed by a school I attended. I never had him for class but I remember walking into his classroom once and seeing some people casually leafing through one of his "sex-ed" books that was filled with homo-erotica.

And we wonder how Penn State scenarios happen?

Not to excuse it, but it’s a private institution. If parents aren’t aware of what’s being taught with their tuition money, they soon will. They’ll have better luck getting him fired than parents of children in public school would.

My kids team is running around talking about a McGangBang. I told him to knock it off and he said it was a Big Mac with hot sauce.

I can’t tell if he is serious.

Indeed - he probably finds it titillating to speak to young people about sex in such a way. Of course, he calls it “educating.”

I found out recently, from some highschool teachers, that the “bases” have changed dramatically from when I was in High School in the 80s. For example “second base” now refers to oral sex.

That was stunning for me, and I’m fairly jaded.

In NYC public schools they now teach 11 year olds to do it.

This country is going down the toilet.

Exposure to these types of "teachers" is one of the top two reasons we homeschool.

For decades, liberals have told us over and over that:

1. Sex education and free condoms will limit unwanted pregnancies. Yet teh number of babies born out of wedlock..to single tgeenage girls, continues to increase. And among black teenage girls, it's scary...Every 15 years, another generation is born, and preordained to fail in life.

2. Smoking is bad..we know it..we'd had decades of anti-smoking PSAs, warnings on packages, billions spent by the governments on anti-smoking campaigns, yet the incidence of smoking among white middle-class, better educated females continues to increase..

Ya think??

When the push for sex education in schools started, years ago, we were told that it was beneficial to teach young people about reproduction, how their bodies work, etc.

We were told that we should teach about reproduction and family life, and that sex is part of marriage and family and having children, etc. etc.

How the heck did we get to a point where we are teaching about how to have sex, expressing the expectation that these kids should have sex outside of marriage, outside of any serious relationship, that they will have recreational “oral” sex, any number of partners, any gender of partners....................

Does anyone else see a disconnect between saying we want to teach about the biological facts of the reproductive system, and teaching about values-free sexual experimentation???????

“First base, second base, third base, home run,” Al Vernacchio ticked off the classic baseball terms for sex acts.

Poor Al probably never got to first base on account of foul balls.

From the article, describing the teacher:

“Gay, with a partner of 17 years, he has ruddy cheeks, a quick smile and a plane of brown hair overhanging his brow, from which he must regularly wipe away sweat during intense discussions.”

Yeah, he sweats during “intense discussions.”

I’m sure it’s just because it’s all so INTENSE for him.

How much do you want to bet he gets a rise out of this and his sweating is related to being sexually aroused?

Disgusting.

I always thought as follows:
1st, kissing
2nd, breast groping
3rd, oral
Home, intercourse
grand slam, all of the above on the first date.

I learned these terms in college, which was only about two years ago; however that’s not to say that the terms are universally defined.

To be honest though, I am not surprised. A number of my classmates were obsessed with talking about sex—most of them girls!

I noted the school in question was “Friends School” in Philadelphia. A typical modernist, expensive, elitist puppy mill that decades ago abandoned its mainline religious/protestant roots.

I took my oldest daughter to a similar school in our city for an open-house, as she was preparing to enter high school. I asked one of the trustees on hand if there was any particular religious ethos that guided the school, particularly in their many courses about “social justice” or “rights.”

He sniggered like I was some kind of caveman and said “no, no - none of that stuff”

I thought a “grand slam” meant having such great, passionate sex with your wife that she cooks you dinner, does the dishes, takes out the trash afterwards, and lets you watch the football game without interruption. But I’ve been married for 20 years and maybe I’m out of the loop.

I had a similar experience when I was visiting TCU. When the coed guiding the tour said, "Let's talk about the C in TCU..."

The reference was that was one of their founding principles but NOW, we are an inclusive campus so it doesn't matter if you're Bhuddist, Christian or Muslim you're welcome at TCU.

Uggghhhh!

master’s degree in human sexuality.

The fact that such a degree exists and is taken seriously is certainly part of the problem.

I agree. Perverts will wrap themselves up in the cloak of being called "an educator" to get away with their sick fantasies.

Giving her a ring will not guarantee sex—it will make it guarantee it less...obvisiously never been married. I learned sex the old fashion way-—from my brother and from the street...

“You mean, it doesn’t matter that I call them in the morning?”

“Nah...they like it like that too...let me tell you about the walk of shame...something men never have to do.”

The only problem with teaching sex in school is that a)you are always stuck in the class with kids who have behavioral problems or the teacher is a child molester.

Nope. That's a home run. A "grand slam" is all of the above except she does that for a week and asks for it every night until you have to roll over and say, "Not tonight, honey, I have a headache."

I've been married 14 years. I was not without my adventures before getting married. They were all worthless in comparison. The problem is getting my kids to grasp that flings do nothing but get you into trouble. It's (naturally) nasty when the father discusses it since he's talking about their mother (I have all boys). My wife is a personal trainer and she has some super hot friends. I'm tempted to have one of their husbands (they're all my friends) have a bonus chat with my oldest so at least he can look at this dude's wife and actually *believe it* when the dude tells him it's *way* better now than just messing around and getting surprises you don't want.

This is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy. What kind of advice is this?

My experience is the exact opposite. For the most part, if you have the self-discipline to remain chaste before marriage, marriage will be bliss to you. If you have the morals of a hound-dog in heat prior to marriage, it will seem like the dog pound.

It's really that simple.

People say that over and over, and though I’ve been married 10 years, it really boils down to how well you continue to connect with your wife.

Ah! What this snickering administrator ( supposedly "educated") fails to acknowledge is that it is impossible for a sentient being to be religiously neutral. It is also impossible for a school to be religiously neutral. His school **does** have a religious ethos that guides their courses. That "religious ethos" is godless secular humanism!

Godless secular humanism is just as religious in content and consequences as is any other religious worldview!
