The vast majority of inorganic minerals in water aren’t needed by us and are useless for metabolic processes. Most alkali metal/halide salts are fine, but they’re at low concentrations in drinking water (which they should be).

True,,,but the “scientists” are claiming that drinking water is completely unnecessary. All the animals going to the watering hole over the millions of years for a drink,,,totally unnecessary. Nature has it all wrong.
This insanity is only the tip of the iceberg:
Breatharianism
Breatharians beleive they can survive solely on sunlight and whatever's in the air, ("sunshine almost always gets me high", The Hollies c1974) Sadly people are actually dying because they fell for this scam.
Urine Therapy, aka p!ss drinkng
No , this is not some crazy fetish from a porn site, there are lost souls who are really duped into this thing.

That’s like saying tornadoes don’t cause destruction.

Could they be “stupider”?

I’m such a dope. I’ve never even heard of hydrogen dioxide.

Heres a simple test. Lock two men in seperate rooms for 4 days, give one water and the other not and lets see who comes out alive. This the probably the stupidest f’n thing I have ever read.

WARNING: Excessive consumption of this substance can cause hyper-hydration or even drowning.

There’s no electrolytes in water.

Not True!

Fresh (as opposed to saline water) has small quantities of minerals dissolved in it - particularly sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium salts.

Filtering cannot remove all minerals. The only thing that can do that is distillation or reverse osmosis.

Caffeine is a diuretic. It will cause dehydration, because you will excrete more water than you take in.

I’ve never even heard of hydrogen dioxide - HO2. Neither have I. That's because water is dihydrogen monoxide - H2O. Hydrogen dioxide would require tetravalent hydrogen - four protons and no electrons.

You are right. It is in the food supply, we are doomed unless we take some needed drastic corrective action!

Learn something new every day. This is EU, but is it really worse than our EPA, etc., even under GWB?

Remember, Anthony Kennedy of the "consevative" 2007 SCOTUS votes with 4 libs to make CO2 a "pollutant" in Massachusetts v. EPA. The 2011 SCOTUS unanimous decision Massachusetts v. EPA said, The Court, we caution, endorses no particular view of the complicated issues related to carbon dioxide emissions and climate change. Who knows. Meanwhile, the EPA continues its Stalinist policies ("Command and control," says Lisa Jackson. Revenge for not passing Crap and Trade.)
