I took this quiz, and I was 92% in favor of Rick Santorum for president, which surprised me. It's a short, twenty question quiz.
My question, we're going through all the candidates, will we give Santorum his day in the sun?
He has no chance. He is a preacher... not a president.
They also had a son, Gabriel, who was born at twenty weeks in 1996. He died in a matter o hours. They took the child home overnight to introduce him to their other children. Many Scumbag Democrats and feckless Republicans point to this as strange, when it is an act of true love for their child and a gift to their other children to see that they had a brother.
Rick Santorum was beaten in 2006, mostly due to his loyalty to GWB for endorsing someone he didn't want to endorse. He ran against Bob ‘scumbag, liar, ne’r do well son’ Casey. Son and namesake of Robert Casey, Sr. The former PA Governor. CAsey a fake pro-lifer and suposed Blue Dog has been a reliable Obama minion. He was screwed over royally by the press over living arrangements while in DC because he had his kids enrolled in a Cyber School so they could be with him in DC. His residency was disputed and he was run through the dirt. He owned a home next to his inlaws in PA and one in the DC suburbs. The Democrat machine tresspassed and thugged up charges against him.
He is a great guy and would make a great president. He walks pro-life and family values like he talks it and we could and probably will do a damn sight worse than him.
Not a chance he betrayed conservatives with his Specter endorsement so he dug his own hole.
Santorum is one of the “cleanest” candidates running. Too bad so many here are swayed by the msm’s hatred of the man. Seems the worst that can be said is his support of Arlen sphincter at GW’s request. He is as solid a Conservative as any one running.
Unfortunately, Rove was an absolute jerk. He withheld support from Bill Simon in California, running against Gray Davis, and Simon lost by around 3%. No campaign funds, as the new head of the California GOP installed by Rove refused to raise any for him. Then Rove stepped in again, and we got Arnie, instead, after conservatives recalled Gray Davis.
Santorum had previously won a couple of races, but they were very close. He was too conservative for the state’s voters at that time to make it easy. So, Rove basically gave him a no-win offer. Refuse the endorsement, and you get no money or support. And, as it turned out, endorse Spectre and the conservative base stays home.
Santorum justified it by the fact that Arlen had earlier endorsed him. In any case, Rove managed to kill another Republican seat with his RINO stupidity.
With that info, then I would suspect our OP is up to something.....
His personality won’t win in a general and most likely not in a primary.
Problem is - The NWS does pretty good work on a day to day to 10 day basis.
All sorts of better candidates for elimination come to my mind.

Just the use of the term "civil liberties" is loaded and its useiìndicates a mindset that sees "liberties" -they aren't rights- flowing from the government. The questions and range of choices among the answers shows the questionnaire to stem from someone with a "government" outlook. My scored second choice of Romny shows that the thing takes what Romney says most recently as his position. I think my attitude toward Santorum just got a little more skeptical.
Insincerity. Perceived or not, INSINCERITY.

I think you hit the nail on the head here.
Perception is reality in politics, particularly in polling.
People who tend to do presidential debates, when there is only the slimmest of possibilities of actually standing a chanve, do so to raise their profile.
They are not seriously considering a run to be the President or VP.
In Santorum’s case, he’s trying to get his Senate seat back.
I do not like Santorum much at all, but I respect your reasons for supporting him. And I do not hold his loss in 06 against him. That was an awful election for all conservatives due to national mood, Bush’ weak leadership, and a lot of other problems.
Same with Cain in 04 in Georgia - in 04 it was a “play it safe” year for Republicans and Georgia Republicans played it safe.
2012 will be somewhat like 2010 - which is to say very different from anything we’ve ever seen until now. People who were right for 04 and 06 would not be right today.
Having said that, I don’t think Santorum is right for today either, but he is impressive in a number of ways.
I don’t need to take a quiz. I like Santorum a lot. I’ve always liked him. I know people are really ticked that he supported Specctor, but I think he’s a loyal republican. My guess is that George Bush asked him to support Spector to preserve some kind of coalition. Then Spector turned on Bush and sold out, after all.
So, how long can you hold a grudge for a political decision? Santorum is right for all the right reasons. He doesn’t waver on LIFE, even when it is his own child. To me, that is a lot more important than who you are backing in a Senatorial election.
Interesting your description of Santorum.
A couple of weeks ago when Herman Cain was asked by Jay Leno to describe his opponents in one word Cain said “tense” for Santorum. Then when prompted by Leno Mr. Cain used almost word for word your description!
Not a good election cycle for the Ricks.
After he endorsed Spectre over Toomey, most FReeper wrote him off.
I am SICK of everyone's pet candidate being presented as the only choice between that person and Obama. We have a large slate of candidates at this point. They all have strengths and weaknesses. I am pointing out the weaknesses of Santorum, in an age when we need someone not heavily steeped in the Beltway mindset. IMO Santorum is.

I took it twice, one with genuine answers (Santorum was first with 94%, Obama last with 9%) and one with leftist answers (Obama was first with 93%, Santorum was tied for last with 0%).
I'm not. I like Santorum...I just realize, with his campaign numbers lower than that of Jon Hunstsman's he has no chance.

I disagree. When choosing a neighbor, a preacher, a friend, a husband - yes. When choosing a President? I don’t think necessarily so.
