Newt Gingrich Offers Advice to #OWS Goons: “Go Get a Job Right After You Take a Bath” (Video)
Gateway Pundit | November 19,2011 | jim Hoft

Posted on 11/19/2011 7:19:45 PM PST by Hojczyk

All of the occupy movements start with the premise that we all owe them everything. The take over a public park they didn’t pay for; To go nearby to go to bathrooms they didn’t pay for; to beg for food from places they didn’t pay for; to instruct those who go to work to pay the taxes to sustain the bathrooms and to sustain the park, so they can self-righteously proclaim that they are the paradigms of virtue for which we owe everything. Now that is a pretty good symptom of how much the left has collapsed as a moral system in this country and why you need to assert something as simple as saying to them, “Go get a job right after you take a bath.”

And, brush your teeth.

By the way… Last night the Occupy hooligans interrupted Newt at a Harvard function.

“They act like Tarzan, they look like Jane, and they smell like Cheetah.”

The first commune was started in America by Bristish industrialist Robert Owen in 1826 in New Harmony, Indiana. The followers of Robert Owen, known as Owenites, were describe this way.

‘In 1825, such an experiment was attempted under the direction of his disciple, Abram Combe, at Orbiston near Glasgow; and in the next year Owen himself began another at New Harmony, Indiana, U.S., sold to him by George Rapp. After a trial of about two years both failed completely, due to Owen’s lack of presence to govern either of the communities.[citation needed] Neither of them was a pauper experiment; but it must be said that the members were of the most motley description, many worthy people of the highest aims being mixed with vagrants, adventurers, and crotchety, wrongheaded enthusiasts, or in the words of Owen’s son “a heterogeneous collection of radicals... honest latitudinarians, and lazy theorists, with a sprinkling of unprincipled sharpers thrown in.”’
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Owen

No matter how much things change some things never do.

*sharper: One that deals dishonestly with others, especially a cheating gambler.

Yes, Newt is following Herman Cain's lead.

Herman didn't mince words on October 5, 2011 and he was highly criticized for it!

We all take the facilities so much for granted we don’t realize how silly our criticism of the homeless or OWS types are for not being clean.

IF you are going to live on the street or occupy a park, you just are not going to have access to the facilities where you can stay clean. No shower, and limited access to laundry. Unless somebody provides it to them.

Those who look down on them for being dirty aren’t being realistic. If Tea Party types were to live under the same conditions, they’d be just as dirty.

I’m not a fan of the Occupants, and don’t approve of their Occupation, but there is just no way for them to Occupy and still be hygienic. Mutually exclusive goals.

So a perfectly reasonable response by an Occupier to Newt, when he suggests they take a bath, is “Where?”

“If Tea Party types were to live under the same conditions, they’d be just as dirty.”

Tea Party “types” WORK for a living.
They protest where they can legally, without hampering other working people, they make their point and then they leave the premises cleaner than when they appeared.

SCREW the “occupiers”—they’re SOCIALISTS.

No excuses for those who don’t wish to WORK.

I think I have recognized a new form of life in our society - The “GUPPIE”

First there were “Hippies” -
Persons of unconventional appearance, typically having long hair and wearing beads, associated with a subculture involving a rejection of conventional values and the taking of hallucinogenic drugs

Next came “Yuppies” -
Well paid young urban professionals employed in the city and typically enjoying a luxurious lifestyle.

And now we have “Guppies*” -
Greedy unemployable parasites of a society that exhibit a bewildering sense of entitlement, despite the bankruptcy of the welfare state being obvious to even the most hopeful hippies and the yuppies of yesteryear.

*
Greedy (adj)
having or showing an intense and selfish desire for something, esp. wealth or power

Unemployable (adj)
persons not able or likely to get paid employment esp. because of a lack of skills or qualifications.

Parasites (n)
an organism that lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host’s expense.
• a person who habitually relies on or exploits others and gives nothing in return. (see “entitlement zombies”)

Actually the first ones on the scene were the Beatniks, they pre-dated the Hippies by about 10 years.

Maynard G Krebs. “Work?!” Bongos. Goatees.

Or for the real thing, Alan Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Wm S Burroughs, Neal Cassady, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, City Lights Bookstore. Some of these depraved characters linked the late 1940s to the hippie era, Cassady in particular.

Tarzan was a pretty heroic chap, and I don’t think Cheetah smelled particularly worse than any outdoor housecat. Other than that, a clever jab.

Did these OWS’ers have any plan in place, or goal they wanted to accomplish??? What were they protesting, and what did they expect to archive???All I saw was a bunch of dope smokers, long haired hippies and people who would never work taking up public space.

If Newt passes Cain, it might be due to (alleged) organizational problems in Cain campaigns. Newt is sharper, but he’s also a loose cannon with a dodgy history.

Some Soros affiliated group got them going on the idea that they’d feel so heroic, like the sixties counterculture relived, and incidentally provide something for the MSM to coo over. They are astroturf. Maybe it was pretty cunning of them, because so far, just about every #Occupied place has bent over backwards to accommodate them, with welcomes that the Tea Party would never get.

Although I appreciate your compassion..the biggest mistake the cities that were “occupied” made was allowing OWS to camp on public (or in the case of Zucotti, private) property.

The OWS movement, for the most part, had homes to go to. IMHO, their message was watered down by their methods I will make an exception for the homeless. Their circumstances are different. I don't know about where you live, but in the metroplex nearest to me...they are not allowed to camp or even sleep on the streets in a cardboard box.

The Tea Party rallies (at least the ones I am aware of) had a beginning and an end during the same day.

OWS...Homeless..Tea Party do not equate to each other.

Actually, Newt attacks O...not his fellow running mates.

I could be wrong, but I think that maybe the reason alot of the “attack the other candidate mode” (with one exception) has left the field.

Saw that on a different thread but it fits anywhere.

After what you reported and chats with my brother in upstate NY, there appears to be three disparate groups occupying Zucotti Park in NYC; the standard no-nothing kids of liberal upbringing, bums and rift-raff looking for easy pickens and lately genuine anarchists who are trying hard to incite a riot. It's said politics makes strange bedfellows.....so does anarchy.

Geez Louise, what a wonderful world we'll have if those three group get their way.
