Those guys must be exhausted with the schedules they’ve been keeping! Little sleep, lots of travel, too many exrays at the airports all take their toll. I hope they can all take a long weekend home with their families.
That is false. Perry has said his use of that word was wrong because it ascribed ill motives to those who disagree with the policy, and he took it back.
To continue propagandizing the falsehood that he is standing by that statement when he disavowed it, is wrong.
As for not needing illegals to win elections, talk about a straw man argument. Name me a Republican or a Conservative who is trying to get illegals to vote, period, much less to get them to vote Republican. You can’t, because there aren’t any.
We passed into law, and Perry signed, a picture voter identification requirement in Texas. It must be a proper driver’s license or a proper state issued ID for non drivers.
As for legals not requiring pandering, there’s worlds of difference between not pandering, and saying you would gladly fry to death Mexicans who tried to come over a fence, then to backtrack by saying “it was a joke”.
Not that the facts matter to you...
But we post ‘em anyways for others who do care.
He showed his organizational and leadership skills in how he handled Katrina. When you think about it, you all took in half the population of New Orleans where people literally only had the clothes on their backs.
If I pull the lever tomorrow I vote Perry...despite some aggravating flaws. I prefer to be Independent but got so sick of libs-Dems picking our candidates. So I registered Republican to be able to vote in the primaries for people like Rick Perry
Nothing Edd has said it false. Rick Perry said we did not have a heart. You may not like that he said it, nor do we. But he did say it.
Perry has said his use of that word was wrong because it ascribed ill motives to those who disagree with the policy, and he took it back.
"Took it back"? lol!
He used the word not knowing what backlash it would produce. But he used the word because it reflected his views. That he "took it back" is meaningless. We know what he meant.
You can't put a fence in the Rio Grande river...Perry has worked his arse off trying to secure the border which is international and the whole country has benefited from his efforts. Perry knows that border and what it takes to secure it. Perry isn't soft on immigration. You might go to his website and get a clue what his stand is on it.
My cell phone rang. "Unknown" said the caller ID.
Thought about letting it pass, but I answered it.
"Alan, this is Rick Perry."
..
Who is your candidate?
GovGoodHair (for real)
GovGoodHair (for real)
” if you want someone perfect then die and go to heaven “
That’s not necessary: One of my friends tells me his wife constantly reminds him of it when she talks about her first husband, RIP.
All Perry has to do is assure conservatives—not `Hispanics’!—that he will secure our borders.
And forget about “talking less and saying more”: he should be talking nonstop.
He assures ALL that he will secure the border, kill off the cartels and NO amnesty.
Good stuff!
Rick Perry gets it.
There was a live thread.
He is doing that...but it isn’t Perry’s character to be a big blabber mouth like Cain, Newt etc. He is a statesman and a true statesman isn’t one who wings it and flaps their mouth like they’ve got diarrhea of the mouth. He also isn’t a big fat liar like the others are.
No...he should have skipped it. In fact he should skip running in any Republican primary. If he wants to run he should oppose obama in the rat primaries!
Perry said it was the wrong choice of words and he had the humility to admit his mistake.
What would he have to do to gain your forgiveness?
Rick Perry doesn't need my forgiveness nor do I believe he wants it. This isn't even about forgiveness. It's about his having revealed his true feelings regarding conservatives like myself who think giving taxpayer funded subsidies to ILLEGAL aliens is wrong.
It's an ideological difference of opinion in which forgiveness doesn't play a part.
All the candidates did a good job - they became “people” instead of candidates. Don’t think Romney would have fared well in a Christian forum like that.
