The Occupy movement is stepping up its confrontational tactics, plotting alternative forms of protest, including flash mobs that can be deployed nationwide.
Citing the success of last weeks so-called Day of Action protests, Take to the Square, one of Occupys main online planning forums, has devised an Alternative Day of Action to coincide with international Human Rights Day on Dec. 10.
Our freedom and dignity are under attack as a result of market dynamics and corrupt government institutions that are turning our local and global societies into increasingly unjust places, the site complains.
The Occupy forum calls for alternative forms of protest and new forms of action with a creative spirit.
Among the proposed actions: We can organize public forums, workshops and flash-mobs; we can promote the movement at local schools and neighborhoods or get in contact with humanitarian organizations working with the same goals.
A flash mob refers to a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place to perform a collective act and then disperse.
While flash mobs have been organized in the past for entertainment purposes, such as for satire or live television shows, recently the concept has also been used for criminal intent.

Why is it okay to say that criminal flash mobs are “mostly teenagers”, as this writer does, but it’s not okay to note that they are mostly members of certain minority groups????
It’s okay to describe their age, but no other characteristics about who is most likely to create a criminal flash mob.
The childish nature of these idiots is amazing.
Don’t hold your breath. If the Tea Party had just 1 of the mildest incidents that have taken place at these occupy groups the media would have ran coverage 24/7.
These people are talking abut molotov cocktails to Macy’s in NY on Black Friday. I hope the cops are prepared!! God help us America! We need you!
UNCIVIL is an understatement!
well, she ignored the ‘training sessions’ that have gone on for months in cities across America, so what makes anyone think she would intervene now, when the agenda she represents is being carried out on a grander scale?
The police need to give out many, many walnut shampoos.
Plus advance communication and planing raises all crimes to felonies and conspiracy, makes 'em RICO violations, and a Republican POTUS might list 'em as a terrorist organization.
On the negative side, Obama might impose martial law, and you know who the troops would be ordered to fire upon.
free podcast will be available later.! Wow, the 1% that ows is protesting are the ones that are supporting the movement.
