Is this the last thread for the FReepathon? It's gotta be. We're running out of Roman numerals!!

Woo hoo!! Moving ever closer to the goal. Today could be the day we take her over the top!!

If you haven't made your donation yet, TODAY would be a great day to get 'er done!!

Please keep those donations, cards, letters and checks coming in, folks, so we can continue kicking liberal/progressive/Marxist butt on FR.

With wannabe dictator B. Hussein Obama pulling out all the constitutional stops to fundamentally transform America from a free Republic, to a third world Marxist hell hole, we need FR now more than ever!!

We are the resistance!!

Don't let it happen on our watch!!

And don't let the GOP elite push an Obama-lite progressive RINO on us either!!

Click the link above to donate by secure server, or by mail to:

Free Republic, LLC - PO Box 9771 - Fresno, CA 93794

Hi TOL! Blood and Guts! LOL.
We watched Love’s Kitchen also. Light hearted with Chef Ramsey making a cameo appearances. Super 8 sounds interesting! I slept most of today...lol. Ate a lot of Sweet Potato Pie. Are you eating left overs too?

Yes! We eat leftovers for at least a week. Tomorrow I'll clean the meat off the turkey, which is about 25% gone, and freeze it in two-serving bags for next week.

We made a ton of stuffing (dressing) and yams, peas, pearl onions, brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, and apple pie. And it's all low-carb, too!

It takes us a very long time to get tired of turkey and fixin's!

I freeze the carcass ... a MUST for a good pot of
soup. I freeze just about all the bones from
chicken, pork, turkey, ham, etc. I don’t eat beef.
so they don’t darken my door .. LOL.

I read a similar articles years ago about the predominance
of eating canned soups instead of from scratch like our Moms and Grandmas did, so that’s what I’ve been doing ‘cause we get valuable minerals from them.

(((((STAR)))))
I hear you on those movies. He had his football games today and a couple of netflix movies. Commericial ads on Hallmark and Lifetime. I don’t subeject him to those channels and I slept most of the day away because it was raining and I remain tired... full belly adds to that...LOL.

No carcus this year for us. I bought the turket breast so only the bone from that and I will make a pot of soup on Tuesday!

TOL, yes, I made a huge turkey size pan of extra stuffing. Already have it frozen with the right amount of sliced turkey and gravy (I hope). Lots of left over. I can’t stop myself from filling plate after plate. Geeeeez.

Canned pumpkin makes an excellent soup base. Then add your homemade stock and a few pureed apples (yes, really!) to make a lovely Fall soup. Simmer for 6-8 minutes, and add salt, pepper, and a bit of nutmeg to finish it off.

-- Recipe cadged from a waitress at The Iron Squirrel Restaurant, Big Bear Lake, California.

Joe, are you still sleeping, honey? Gee whiz!

Well, thank you for getting up long enough to say hello before falling asleep again.

You're quite a cutie pie!

Stunning photo above the couch, BTW!

ROFLOLOLOL! Where did you get that lovely photo of my turkey anyway, Joe? That is definitely the way it looked when I got done salvaging the last of the meat. It's in the trash now, all sealed up to keep out the bears and raccoons.

Thanks for another classic calendar. I'll have one in every room in the house if you're not careful. [Smooch] you neato guy, you!

Yikes! That turkey buzzard is just waiting for that poor raccoon to die so she can eat it. And it's just a cub, too.

It looks as if she is flirting with that tom, too. But he's not interested, and he's keeping his tail folded. She's a woman scorned!

Maybe the raccoon will have the last laugh after all.
