This is so **%*%*%. This is such horse blank.
Obama put together this commission to study an intractable, politically explosive problem. The commission was charged with coming up with recommendations and solutions which would be politically difficult to address. Obama led us to believe that he took the issues of trillions in debt seriously, and that he wanted to search for solutions to the problems. He led to believe that he was concerned about our long term debt, ongoing deficits, Social Security funding, etc.
So the commission he establised issues its findings and recommendations, and it is ignored. I wondered about that, because it seemed as if the news media barely covered the story at the time the commission wrapped up its work, and it seemed that Obama barely mentioned the results of the commission work.
I would love to see a Republican presidential candidate talk about this. This is another example of a failure of presidential leadership on the part of Obama.
Yup. Obama is the main problem in all of this.
Until he is gone, nothing can get done. He is the obstacle to progress, no one else.
Dear God help us if he gets re-elected since it will be four more years of nothing happening and our nation imploding under debtm, deficit, chaos, etc.
Wow. Good find. I sent it to Drudge and hope he plasters it.
Well ... well ... well. We know who’s the real Do-Nothing thug and here’s the proof.
I already sent it to Drudge.
And this is from this week, not weeks ago.
The economic team was for it, but the political team was not - and Obama chose politics over economics.
I couldnt believe that none of the stage last night brought up Fast n Furious!
What is wrong with these gop morons?
Good points. The GOP could actually give Obama some credit for recognizing that our country has a serious long term financial problem, in terms of huge annual deficits and long term debt. Then, they could slam Obama for ignoring his own commission, not being involved with the whole super committee thing, not having worked with his fellow Democrats in Congress to produce a budget, etc.
The whole thing adds up to a lack of leadership by Obama, and choosing to do nothing about a major problem.
Choosing to do nothing about a problem is still a choice.
Hope Rush sees this, too.
Unbelievable. *shakes head*
[ What is wrong with these gop morons? ]
They were like Red Riding Hood conversing with “the Wolf”.. i.e. PollyAnna
“the Wolf” was very careful the questions he posed to Newtie..
This video is a campaign commercial in it self.
Complete failure of any leadership.
Does anyone here have rushs’ email?
I thought the Bowles Simpson plan sucked. I was shocked Obama didn’t love it.
I used to, but I’m not a member of Rush 24/7 anymore. I bet you can ask for it in this thread and someone will know:

Simpson, being true to Rino stupid form, attacks conservative Republicans endlessly as if it is Republicans who killed his precious Rino compromise. Listening to Simpson, you would never dream the Kenyan killed his dirty deal.
Since Al is so crazy about the deal, it’s probably full of socialist poison pills and sucks badly for the country.
He needs to go back into his cave.
It want perfect at all, but it was a credible plan that would have saved us from downgrade and this utter bs with obama and the media running around screaming about the GOP.
Just voting agains’t the increase in the debt ceiling would have saved our credit rating.
But seriously my pet peeve with Erskine/Bowles is that its alway’s the same old same old. Do away with the mortgage interest deduction, raise the retirement age, cut medicare and SS but no welfare reform, no fraud/waste reform, not one freaking unnecessary govt agency shuttered, no addressing the cost of the UN and foreign aid to countries who hate us. Nothing, nada, zilch. In my opinion it was pure BS. The day they formed that committee you and I could have outlined what the plan would look like.
I read a quote by some freeper yesterday that went like “The US government is functionally incapable of reforming itself”. A moment of clarity.
