Newt orchestrated the takeover of the first republican congress in 40 years, and made it work. That’s good enough for me.

1986 did fail but the pro-ILLEGAL alien crowd wants more of the same.

Newt orchestrated the takeover of the first republican congress in 40 years, and made it work. That’s good enough for me.

Newt voted to create the Department of Education.

Newt voted for the Amnesty.

Newt voted to lock up 65 million acres of Alaskan wilderness.

Newt voted to give China Most favored Nation status.

Newt pushed the liberal Scozzafazza in NY23( a GOP district) when there was a perfectly good conservative running in the race.

Newt is for the Individual Mandate where Health Insurance is concerned.

Newt is for a limited Amnesty.

Depending on the day of the week, Newt believes Global Warming is real.

We need a conservative, not a moderate globalist.

What a bunch of horse puckey.

The way each candidate except Romney and Obama keeps getting attacked, one has to believe those who write and push these things are closet liberals.

They are dooming us to a Romney/Obama race.

So, now pointing out the FACTS of a candidates history is attacking someone?

What, does it get in the way of your propaganda and indoctrination efforts?

So all the conservatives that are posting various candidates failures where conservatism is concerned are now closet liberals?

You are a joke!

And then failed to follow on many items in the contract. That proves Newt is a great gas bag. But does not have the managerial acumen and perseverance to follow through. We have nothing but people well educated on how Washington works running the government, and now we need a real change & hope. Not a nutty professor.

Anybody not pushing Illegal Immigration and bigger government and globalism.

All of the candidates, with the possible exception of Romney and maybe Huntsman are solid on the social issues, that leaves the rest. So, in my opinion, in order of strength of conservative positions on the issues and electability (with conservative issue positions taking priority):

1. Cain
2. Bachmann
3. Perry
3. Santorum
3. Gingrich
3. Paul

Out of all the 3's, I could only possibly vote for Santorum. Both Perry and Gingrich with their Open-Border positions will never get my vote while Paul will never get my vote because of his wacked-out Foreign Policy positions. 5.

A jackass is a donkey-cross. A jackass conservative is one who’s actions benefits the democrats.

I’ve watched these jerks run down every single conservative in the field, and the jackass conservatives go right along with it.

They’re giving us Romney. Damn jackass conservatives.

Gingrich’s lifetime ACU rating is 94%. That’s higher than Jessie Helms.

You people are jackasses. And, yes, you’re a freakin’ traitor to conservatism and a stool pigeon of either obama or romney....they’re the same so I can’t tell which.

Sorry Jackass, do some research.

I did, I actually looked at his voting record on the ACU website.

His last years in congress he was running around a 75%, hardly commendable.

For many of the preceeding years, for many of the votes the ACU used to rate the house members, he apparently did not vote, so his "100%" scores are hardly reliable in rating him.

Granted, there were some actual years he actually voted on all votes and voted the conservative line, however, there is a lot of actual, factual baggage where Newt is concerned.

Quit trying to paper over his faults, and be honest about his failures. You might have a better chance at convincing people he might have changed and might be ready to be POTUS.

As for me, with his Pro-Amnesty stance and his Individual Mandate stance, he'll never get my vote.

I work for no one and I know the poster you directed your posts at doesn’t either. I/We just want a real conservative nominee. I think we all do and just disagree on who that nominee should be. Calling others ‘jackasses’ and making unsubstantiated claims that they are working to elect Romney or to reelect Obama does nothing but divide us more. It’s certainly no way to defend Newt. But hey, if you think that’s going to win Newt support have at it.

That fits Newt to a “T”: supporting the Department of Education, amnesty, global warming, Medicare D, teaming with Pelosi, Obama, Kerry, Gore and other Democrats.

No one here is bucking for Romney. We are debating on FR who will be the best candidate to defeat Obama the socialist and who will act with most conservative principles overall. FR will not select the nominee. It will be the 40 or 50 million republicans who will go to the polls. FR posters are not large enough population to change the nomination outcome.

Ideally we want to get behind one and only one candidate. That is the best approach to kill Romney & other RINO’s chances for nomination. A united group on FR does mean something, however.

Take that to the bank!!!!

Jackass conservatives always say they’ll support those who aren’t at the top.

Then the long knives come out.

And it will give us Romney/Obama.

6 weeks from now they’ll be voting in Iowa. We’ll have one untouched candidate Romney and 6 wounded conservatives, because jackass conservatives have run every single one of them down.

It's called vetting and it's what we do. You've been around long enough to know that. You've also been around long enough to know that what happens at FR isn't affecting the national performance of any given candidate. We could all be supportive of Perry for example, and he still would have dropped like a rock.

Lighten up. No one here is trying to elect Romney and if there is anything we can all agree on it is we want to get rid of Barry.

It’s intentional destruction of conservatives, giving Romney a pass and a leg up.

Romney stoolies now, are we?

I'm not a Gingrich supporter. He's smart and good at debating, but he's a RINO and I wouldn't trust him for dog catcher much less the presidency. He's down near the bottom of my list of eligible *cough* Republicans just before Ron Paul. Romney at the very bottom, of course, tied with Giuliani for when hell freezes over.

Does the above statement make one a "Romney stoolie"?
