So did they catch and arrest the perpetrator? The story doesn’t say. I just wonder if the perpetrator ran away from the store, and didn’t get her bargains in the end.

I’m surprised the name “Black Friday” caught on, and has been used by the media and most people.

I was once chastised for saying something about “black coffee”, and was informed that this could be a racist statement. And I asked the person who told me this, what should I say, “African-American coffee”? And I was told that I should say “coffee naturalle”.

As I said, it's an ownership thing.

First thoughts on this-
Does anyone expect to be able to continue shopping for the items they want AFTER pepper=spraying the competition?

I blame the stores for most of this mayhem. You set up for a mob scene, whip the shoppers up to a frenzy for ‘specials’ and you attract the kind who will sleep in parking lots- you’re gonna get aggressive mob mentality.

If they kept prices low to begin with- not 500% markup- there would be no need for a one-day hysterical stampede.

I’m sure precautions are in now place to prevent trampling when the doors are opened so this had to be the next logical event for BF.

About that time of year, isn’t it?

********************

Frank Costanza: “Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.”

Cosmo Kramer: “What happened to the doll?”

Frank Costanza: “It was destroyed. But out of that a new holiday was born: a Festivus for the rest of us!”

Kramer: “That must have been some kind of doll.”

Frank Costanza: “She was.”
