As an unabashed and high-profile liberal on President Barack Obamas White House staff, former green energy czar Van Jones was to Republicans what a red cape is to a snorting bull: an irresistible target.
So when he resigned in 2009 under withering fire from the right triggered by a video of him disparaging the GOP, followed by revelations of a tenuous connection to Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists few doubted Jones was finished in Washington. He acknowledged as much a year later, writing in The New York Times that politics has become a combination of speed chess and Mortal Kombat: one wrong move can mean political death.
What a difference two years can make.
While still a high-value target for conservatives, the charismatic Jones has rebounded from his messy departure to become a superstar of the resurgent left, founding with MoveOn.org the American Dream Movement, a grass-roots political force modeled after the tea party. His issue is no longer just green jobs, but to push back against the rights domination of economic policy and social issues that he dates to the 2010 election.
I thought progressives were too quick to go from hopey to mopey during the past two years, Jones told POLITICO in a recent interview. They skipped the fight in the middle.
The tea party, he said, impressed him by the way they were able to gather so many organizations and individuals under an open-source brand. There just wasnt a voice on the economy for progressives and moderates that was coherent and passionate like them. I thought that was really fascinating,

Just Lenin coming back from Switzerland on the train. Don’t pay any attention. That’s a good sheep.
I thought Obama was the voice on the economy for progressives? Wow, even the nuts have tossed the Messiah over.
so this is their new whitewashing of a flat out Communist???
There was a time in this country when Van Jones would be in prison for treason.
Glenn Beck being deleted from Fox has had a big impact IMHO.
Anyone who would give this moron the time of day is an enemy of freedom.
There is nothing special about Jones. He isn’t smart, isn’t inciteful, has never created value of any type for this society.
He is a nothing.
Agreed. There is no one on TV speaking out against these marxists any more.
Yeah, a one-man band consisting of Paul Krugman doesn't quite make the cut...
It wasn’t a withering attack that got rid of him, it was the fact that Idiot Jones signed a paper saying Dick Cheney was behind 9/11. The White House dropped him like a leaky urine specimen. He is going no where. An agitator that offers nothing to benefit this nation or humanity. Give him is 12 inch spot in Zuccotti Park where he can rage, and then power wash it when he is done spewing.
How does he make a living?
Van Jones and Marion Barry the two most evil people from West Tn. ever.
...he resigned in 2009... triggered by a video of him disparaging the GOP, followed by revelations of a tenuous connection to Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists...He should be Ron Paul's third party running mate.
If Van Jones is the best “Politico” can offer up, then “Politico” has a survival problem. Have you all noticed that Jonathan Martin, the celebrated, but “unstable” “Politico” reporter has disappeared into never, never land since his miserable, failed “Bimbo” attack on Mr. Herman Cain!!! I guess “Politico” has put Mr. Martin on ice or sent him forth to get the meds and professional rehab treatment he so badly requires!!! I mean.....come one, if the number one read piece on “Politico” is about Van Jones, shelf life at Politico is in a rapidly downward sliding trend!!!
Actually he is almost criminally inciteful, but I'll bet he isn't "insightful" at all. (Please check your dictionary)
He started as a political program but ended as a preaching program. I liked the start.
Probably in a death spiral for clicks and funding and attention.
Look for more crazy stuff - they need to find a demographic to pander to. (See MSNBC for example).
“There just wasnt a voice on the economy for progressives”????? I think he meant “There just wasnt a voice on the economy for communists”. Just a thought here.
We will find a parole violation in the future for you jonesy and you be sellin yo sh## to da inmates for cigarettes
I’ve often wondered why Beck primarily concentrated on Soros and did very little on Maurice Strong? He barely mentioned Strong if I remember rightly.
Resurgent left? In their dreams.
That is true. I wondered if it had something to do with the pressure from the left and probably FOX because he was too effective when he preached politics.
He's also a very smooth speaker. The same things (not particularly bright, but silver-tongued) could/should also be said of Obama. We've got to look out for power-hungry people like that. They tend to worm themselves into high positions.
Van Jones, the commie unions, and the rest of the ‘RATs machine have been saying for a long time that they need their own left-wing Tea Party Movement. bttt

Van Jones on America’s [ HIS Tea Party-like ] Uprising: It’s Going To Be an Epic Battle
Jones talked to AlterNet about the growing social movements for change, running real progressives in 2012, and how we can train a million new leaders.
Van Jones, lead evangelist for the American Dream movement....said that after he left the White House, where he served as a green jobs adviser to President Barack Obama, he occupied his time studying how the Tea Party movement came into existence and marshaled its power. ....
....With Monday’s speech, Jones set out to sell the idea of a more diffuse and locally directed progressive movement to a gathering of progressives who are more used to being part of organizing campaigns launched from organization or union headquarters. What Jones is offering instead, though his Rebuild the Dream hub (launched in partnership with MoveOn.org), is an open-source brand for the left, complete with a logo in the form of a red “A” (for “American Dream”) with a white star at its center, underlined by a blue stripe. It’s a graphic turn on the American flag, part of Jones’ call to the left to reclaim the mantle of patriotism. ...
....Rebuild the Dream has already facilitated some 1,600 house meetings of like-minded people who aim to build a grassroots movement on a par with the Tea Party. Rebuild the Dream has also issued a “Contract For the American Dream,” ...
....Today, the more institutional wing of the left will be represented among the less-affiliated protesters of Occupy Wall Street, as union members, artists, hactivists and students join in the mass expression of outrage....”

Since our first Tea Party protest, the Democratic coalition has been searching for its own Tea Party.
... OWS is just part of a broader effort by Jones to regroup after the devastating repudiation of President Obamas economic agenda on November 2nd. This is Hope and Change Part II: The Empire Strikes Back. ...”

Van Jones and Democratic Party Operatives
“...Glenn Greenwald says in a recent blog, “White House-aligned groups such as the Center for American Progress have made explicity clear that they are going to try to convert OWS into a vote-producing arm for the Obama 2012 campaign.”
Before he ran to the front of the Occupy Movement, Jones’ Rebuild the Dream had been saying that its first task was to elect Democrats. Now he is claiming there will be 2000 99% candidates in 2012. ...”

Van Jones suggests liberals imitate the tea party
By Elizabeth Flock
Former White House green jobs adviser and author Van Jones thinks liberals need to make their own tea party. Or at least steal their tactics.
“...The Wall Street protests, Jones said, are a good beginning for a liberal movement, but need to work on a more cohesive message and organized approach.
Jones suggested a movement of his own to fill that hole, a progressive support centercalled Rebuild the Dream he modeled after the tea partys support centers. ...”
Van Jones Talks Progress & Organizing a Left-Wing Tea Party Movement
Wednesday Oct 5, 2011 by Sky Obercam
“....Unity was at the heart of Jones message to the enthusiastic audience and beyond. The American Dream Movement, which Jones aided in conceiving, was developed to band together the disenfranchised majority of Americans whove suffered as a result of weak policies of a faltering democracy. Last summer he called on a wide array of concerned citizens to help author the Contract for the American Dream a la Tea Party. ...”

“i really wish obama would get primary’d by real progressives. we need a “tea party” of our own to force his hand on the issues he caved on.”
Wednesday, February 20, 2008
“...Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County (www.duhc.org) is the grassroots alliance that organized so successfully against corporate rule in that county. One way the group promoted and raised money for its cause was through selling tea, with the following words written on each tea bag: “We need a tea party of our own.” DUHC is now helping other communities to organize against the corporate takeover of their cultures, communities and governments. ...”
Beck did speak of strong but not a lot. Strong is another evil bastard and primary force behind the whole agenda 21 plan.
Through forced sterilization and “other means” he wants to eliminate 2/3 of the people in north America.
Yep. I’m listening to George Hunt, right now, on his inside info of all this.
Someone who kept turning up in my research of the left was Phil Angelides. That guy has way too much power for someone who isn’t an elected official.
Interesting. I’ll have to do some digging on him.
We need Glenn Beck to expose the enemy.
Friend, we cannot rest one minute, no, not one second in bringing about the rousing defeat of America hater, Barack Hussein Obama come election day, November 6, 2012. It is almost as if he knows he is in his swan song finale, and will now do everything to destroy our country and our people. Obama. Jones, Jarrett, Ayres, Soros, Farrakhan, Wright, etc. are dangerous and evil people from head to toe. They all have one thing and theme in common, they hate America and “all” Americans and will do everything and anything possible, legal or illegal, to bring America down. End of story!!!
