Within 24 hours of a US attack helicopters strike inside Pakistan's Taliban-controlled tribal agency of Mohmand that killed more than 20 Pakistani troops, the Pakistan government has ordered the US to vacate a key airbase in Baluchistan and has closed NATO's supply lines through the Khyber Pass.

The Defence Committee of the Cabinet, a Pakistani committee chaired by Prime Minister Yousef Gilani, issued a statement calling for US personnel to leave the Shamsi airbase in Baluchistan province and the closure of NATO's supply chain to Afghanistan.

Gosh it would be so sad if, in the post-Mumbai fallout, Pakistan & and India got into a big war, you know?

You can rest assured that when we went into the region in force we had a come-to-jesus meeting with both India and Pak. They were on the brink of war when Darth Vader paid them a little-publicized visit, and after that, no worries between them ever since. Without our forces in the region, and with China stirring the pot, they will be back at it I'm sure.

Hope we are on India's side this time.

Seems like this administration takes incompetence to new levels almost weekly

I wonder if this Arab Spring Obama unleashed upon the world will bite him in the ass before the 2012 election I certainly think it will as he opened the MB Pandora box and he is powerless to control it

” Pakistan & and India got into a big war, you know? “

You think that a ‘big’, ie. ‘all-out-nuclear’ war, anywhere in the world would be ‘fun’??

If I’m correct in my remembrance of your place of domicile, you might even be in the fallout envelope for this one, given favoring winds...

Care to reconsider??

One way or the other, Rome gets a big say in how things run. That's just how the world works.

What if it wasn’t an accident? Pakistan is desperate to keep it’s head above water. They’re more afraid of the Taliban and their own internal Islamunists then they are of the U.S. Because they know some day the U.S isn’t going to be there.

If I ruled, I would secretly be encouraging India to press their dispute with Pakistan over Kashmir.

In order to reconsider, a person would have to “consider” in the first place... know what I mean?

They want our money - we’ve NEVER been ‘in’ - the Pakis play everyone against each other. We need to secure the nukes and get the hell out of Dodge.
