Cain Denies New Allegations, as Woman Claims They Had 13-Year Affair

ATLANTA -- Herman Cain on Monday pre-emptively denied a forthcoming accusation by a woman who is expected to say she had a 13-year affair with the Republican presidential candidate.

In an apparent effort to get ahead of the story, Cain appeared in a cable news interview to say the woman is "someone who I know, who is an acquaintance, who I thought was a friend."

MyFoxAtlanta.com released some details of the story, which is scheduled to air Monday night, shortly after Cain appeared on CNN -- identifying the accuser as an Atlanta businesswoman named Ginger White.

"It was pretty simple," White told the station. "It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship."

Pretty much everyone posting that says this is it for Herman Cain are known supporters of one of his more liberal primary opponents. No one here is going to allow the liberal democrats, and establishment Republicans, to manipulate them into doing exactly what our anti-Conservative enemies want us to do. What they want our response to be is obvious, and that's why we're not responding in that manner, but in the exact opposite in most cases.

Cain raised a lot of money last time around, and while supporters were obviously donating to support the Conservative stances he holds, they were primarily coming in at a record pace at that particular time as a show of defiance to those liberals who took us for being just as dumb as their own supporters, and to show the liberals in our media just how far their influence has fallen over the years.

You don't tell us how to feel about our candidates, and you don't decide who we put our support and vote behind. Especially while showing a hysterical desperation that shows your own weakness, and complete fear that seems to be bordering on panic of Herman Cain winning the nomination. That's just an added morale booster for Conservatives to step up their work even further helping Cain get the nomination. This is equivalent in it's completely obvious and transparent goals as being as ridiculous as someone trying to use reverse psychology on your average adult, and expecting the same results you can get from most little kids.

I guess that's to be expected though when your liberal supporters are made up of people like those in the OWS protest, who are easily manipulated and controlled. I think liberals who fear Cain in the general election underestimated Conservatives based on just how easy they control their own extremely ignorant liberal base. They are learning it's not so easy when dealing with intelligent, and informed Conservatives with principle. That's why Cain's supporters here on FR seem to have all stayed on board the Cain Train, and I think the vast majority of all his supporters will do the same.

The few who let let this ploy work to demoralize them, and move their support elsewhere are just playing into the hands of the enemy who's political vision is nothing like theirs, and have manipulated them into hurting their own Conservative views from being seen implemented. Fortunately I believe the small portion who allow themselves to be used against their own interest, won't equal the Cain supporters who not only refuse to be played for ignorant, and easily manipulated puppets, but also get fired up in defeating these people by solidifying their support for Cain. That will result in increased donations, and volunteer work for his campaign to defy those who thought they would have destroyed Cain by now, and have an obvious hysterical fear of him being the Republican nominee.

Exactly altura. This woman will either pass or won’t. The hotels she says they stayed at undoubtedly have cameras. If they are seen coming or going, how do you explain that one?Not to mention cameras outside the areas of the hotels mentioned. thirteen years is a lot to cover up is she is not lying.

Yes, rodguy. Some reporter or many reporters are digging into this stuff right now.

If they can’t find anything at all after 13 years it would seem to indicate that Cain is not guilty.

Of course, both of them knew it was an illicit relationship, so some care would have been taken to keep it secret but there is always something.

All I’m saying is that the impassioned defense of Cain is premature at this time and I would hold my cards (and my money) until something more definitive comes out.

Good heavens, the problem with you is your obvious personal hatred for Cain.

You can’t spend a minute without spewing personal invective at the man.

What did he personally do to you?

If you don’t support him, thats fine, but others do and your hatred is repulsive. You can’t wait to join in with the other side when they repeatedly attack Cain with all kinds of rumors that aren’t proven.

Most people are sitting back waiting to see what plays out. I don’t tend to think this woman is being truthful because she says her reason to come out now was to back up the other two.

That was her big mistake, because it ties her in the same scheme of the Allred crowd.

You need to chill out. No matter what happens with Cain it hasn’t seemed to help Perry much.

Check my posts on the Perry and Newt threads.

I defend ALL the candidates against lies and rumor mongering.

Wish more folks would do the same, instead of the internal fracas we've got going on now.

This is so freaking laughable, it's so obvious who they are afraid of, heck they are TERRIFIED of Herman Cain.

It's not laughable. It's pathetic and destroying the conservative/republican brand and turning this primary season into a circus.

There isn't enough "there" there to keep supporting Cain and dismissing all accusations and accusers. Besides, I remember a time in the 1990's when we raged against the "nuts and sluts" offense.

IMHO, Herman Cain has deep trouble with policy--both foreign and domestic--and with the truth.

He needs to go home, take care of his health and spend his book proceeds on his deeply wounded wife.

I just can’t believe anyone with all that dirt in their background would actually run for president. Most people would assume the stories would eventually come out in the media.

Are you too young to remember the 1992 campaign and a fellow named William Jefferson Clinton . . .

I don’t have a dog in this fight as I’m north of the border and not American. I am certainly not a fan of Romney, but I have been a student of American politics long enough to know that there is a double standard when it comes to politicians involved in inappropriate personal relationships. While a Clinton could survive a scandal because of undying media support, a Republican cannot. And even lesser light Democrats have been forced out of office (how soon we forget the sad tale of Weiner’s weiner). But it’s not just the media. Conservatives expect a higher standard of conduct from their candidates. To conservatives, family, loyalty and integrity isn’t just a convenient campaign slogan - it’s how most of us strive to live. Even if we fall short of the ideal, we don’t stop believing in the ideal. When faced with a candidate who has serious character flaws, our instinct is not just to sweep it under the carpet. We want to get the facts before passing judgment.

With respect to Cain, I don’t know yet whether there’s real substance to any of the allegations. There is, however, a need to get the truth about the man before anointing him as the nominee. If there is truth in the latest allegation then it is not something that I would accept in a nominee, particularly since it isn’t some incident from the distant past. Same goes for Gingrich’s character.

Like it or not, Romney (so far) has avoided the appearance of personal character flaws which have haunted Cain and Gingrich. Perry may also benefit from being seen as a person with personal integrity. I think Gingrich has put enough distance between his divorce so that conservatives were willing to take a second look, but they are not enthusiastic. His health care and immigration comments are giving conservatives cause for concern and he doesn’t have the political capital to be given a pass.

In a word, your situation is a mess. Either the conservative primary voters coalesce around an imperfect conservative candidate such as Perry, or they’ll be forced to accept a competent RINO like Romney.

It was a sarcastic remark. Not meant to be taken literally.

No way its 80/100% accurate according to those who have worked with them.

I don't expect the people that use them to claim otherwise.

Sorry I read every article.

When Cain says he is “trying to help her financially” and them the cult member ATTACK her because of financial issues, your defense falls due to it’s own failure.

Apparently Cain didn’t do much to help her financial situation. Cain sure has questionable judgement in women, doesn’t he?

Amazing how the purist all of a sudden drop their character issues when the Cult leader is shown to be a clay footed idol.

The only ones on FR that are betraying Conservative Values are the Cain and Newt supporters.

If Sarah Palin were running, they would have found a man to say the same thing.

You forgot about JoeMcGinnis? Even the media dismissed him and his book. You know Joe - who rented the house next door to her - watching her and her family's every move and interviewed every one that had breathe? Probably a garbage picker, also.
