Posted on 11/28/2011 5:31:32 PM PST by Nachum
Persons within the Department of Justice whose identities are not yet publicly known apparently broke the law by leaking firearms trace data to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, which she introduced in the Senate Judiciary Committee record in the hearing on Department of Justice oversight earlier this month.
If I may, Senator Feinstein requested at the beginning of her questioning of Attorney General Eric Holder (see webcast, at the 69:45 mark), I'd like to put in the record the official firearms trace data from the Department of Justice from 12/1/2006 to 2000...excuse me, 9/30/2011...this is guns [unintelligible] Mexico.
Left unchallenged and unsaid is how Feinstein obtained the data, which is prohibited by the Tiahrt Amendment from being shared with anyone but law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, and only then in the course of a criminal investigation. That prohibition extends even to Senator Feinstein, as evidenced by the failed attempt earlier this year by Rep. Adam Schiff to allow Congressional committees to be included on the list of entities to which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms can disclose part or all of the contents of the Firearms Trace System database.

Great post! This guy Codrea is fantastic, too.
Anyone think your medical data will be treated any differently?
DiFi is a member of the Inner Party. Those kinds of laws don’t apply to her.
Of course, the battle axe knew. Let her explain this one.
Special prosecutor and criminal investigation needed.
Spineless GOP simply ignores these. Dems would be all over state media over this.
You can’t win if you don’t fight.
Same way insider trading, racketeering and influence peddling is legal ONLY for politicians in Washington DC ?
DiFi lives in the Pacific Heights sector of San Francisco —I have been to her house.
It’s like a freaking palace —mind blowing. Her husband is a prominent lawyer who works for the ChiComs —I’m serious.
DiFi is by far the most wealthy person in Congress, maybe by a factor of 3 or 4.
” Don’t be ridiculous. The rules are for the little people, silly “
DiFi - one of the “power elite “, where laws for the commoner don’t apply !
She can explain while she is at it all the sweet deals she and her husband made with China. One of these one of these thugs will be going to prison. Will it be Pelosi or this bag first?
Democrat(s) breaking the law!?
Somehow I don't think she'll find it necessary to.
Just like she didn't feel it necessary to explain how her husband's company benefited from all those contracts when she sat on the arms appropriations committee, etc.
"Don't you know who I am?"
You KNOW that.

It's only temporary.
What comes next for her is permanent.
Post a picture of it so we can see it to!
Blum is the primary owner and CEO of Blum Investments and Blum Capital. He isn't a lawyer and doesn't represent the Chicoms. His investments of size include URS Corp and Perini Corp , both major recipients of Defense Dept. contracts, combined larger than received by Halliburton Corp. He was and still may be the Consul General of Nepal here in San Francisco.
Blum is also a University of California graduate and started as a stock broker with a prominent local firm years ago. He presently serves as a Regent on the UC Board of Regents.
Diane's second husband was Benjamin Feinstein, a local judge who passed away before she became Mayor of San Francisco in the 1980's.
As far has her being the wealthiest person in Congress "by a factor of 3 or 4", most unlikely when you consider that just in the Senate you have a Rockefeller, a Kohl and a Warner.
I’m telling ya,
Go to your local penny saver, gun show whatever and buy a gun from a private individual.
Do not register or report this purchase.
Buy lots of ammo for it and make sure it works.
Hide it and NEVER tell anyone.
Ha. There are sooo many illegal weapons floating around Los Angeles.
No way man.
Guns are strictly prohibited in L.A..
man I worked at DownTown L.A. Datsun and NEVER went in to the city with out a gun.
Rode my Yamaha 400 enduro so if pooh hit the fan I could escape.
Long time ago and it is the same or worse.
That poor bear! Did you take that picture? We saw a cat on the side of the road with a jar stuck on it’s head. We stopped and broke the jar. I hope someone did that for the bear.
DiFi’s husband has profited mightily from deals with the ChiComs. His cover is posing as a pro-Tibet person. The ChiComs admire this kind of deception. Their house is decorated with Tibetan art and I suppose Chinese art too.
Dianne Feinstein’s Husband Richard C Blum.. On board of ...
Nov 21, 2011 arts + action ... Blum’s wife, Senator Dianne Feinstein, has received scrutiny due to her husband’s government contracts and extensive business dealings with China ... Blum has a strong interest in Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism. ...
Which is why Di will never utter a peep against war. Her husband profits handsomely from endless war.
10 days with no water? That cub surely was very close to dying.
“How did Sen. Feinstein get ATF gun trace data in violation of Tiahrt Amendment?”
The same way Hillary got her hands on FBI files?
Let’s just say that among Democrats, Sen. Feinstein keeps a noticeably low profile. Not low enough however to recuse herself when the Senate Committee on Military Oversight which she chaired dealt with budget issues for the conflict in Iraq.
Nice catch David keep up the good work.
Real question is why anyone would believe the data would not be shared.
We are very near the end phase of our nation. The next act will not be pretty.
Yup, URS,Inc. which has former repub Sen. Bill Frist (TN) on it’s BOD. URS has contracts far in excess of anything Halliburton ever got-— but you will NEVER hear about it in the liberal press because of Sen. Fine Shine.
The point of the article though is quite valid. How did the good Senator get this information, since it is a major violation of Federal Law, and since she is also a major opponent of the 2nd Amendment (you know, doesn’t like those “scary looking” guns that shoot every time you pull the trigger). This truly bears some looking into.
How did Sen. Feinstein get ATF gun trace data in violation of Tiahrt Amendment?
Found it in Hillary’s closet next to the FBI files?
The information was leaked to provide selective "statistics" that Feinstein could use to promote her views on gun traffickingno criminal intelligence interpretation was provided, and the way this was done was intentional, with cognizance that the data were going to be misused.
Having gotten the cherry-picked data submitted into the record, DOJ will now deny access to the database to anyone else, so the accuracy of that data cannot be challenged.
And not soon enough.
I don't know. I've never seen Feinstein's house.
That's why I asked for a photo of it to be posted.
If that is her house, it certainly has that palatial look.
The photo reminds me of one of those country estates of the very rich in England.
Hehehe, you know, at the end of the day...There is no way in [expletive deleted] will I ever give up a single firearm or round of ammunition in the event the day comes the government wants me to turn over what they know I have...
Feinstien (and her ilk), can worm their way towards that goal at their own risk...
And they know this...
At the time, there was a man who combined Marxism and religion in a compelling new way that somehow bound whites and blacks (mostly from Oakland) together in a way that was almost magical.
His influence grew, and finally CPS turned almost 100 troubled youths over to him --he was the charismatic Reverend Jim Jones of the People's Temple Church.
They all died here:
It wasn't DiFi's FAULT, really, but the amazing thing was that NO journalists from San Francisco EVER took her to task for the deeds of her buddy --no famously uncomfortable questions.
It was as if DiFi had never been friends with him at all.
If that’s it, I’d bet a lot of Manuel labor goes into keeping the formal garden looking neat.
