The Unbelievers (NY Times hypes African-American atheists, a "minority within a minority")
New York Times ^ | Nov 27, 2011 | Emily Brennan

RONNELLE ADAMS came out to his mother twice, first about his homosexuality, then about his atheism.

“My mother is very devout,” said Mr. Adams, 30, a Washington resident who has published an atheist children’s book, “Aching and Praying,” but who in high school considered becoming a Baptist preacher. “She started telling me her issues with homosexuality, which were, of course, Biblical,” he said. “ ‘I just don’t care what the Bible says about that,’ I told her, and she asked why. ‘I don’t believe that stuff anymore.’ It got silent. She was distraught. She told me she was more bothered by that than the revelation I was gay.”

This was in 2000, and Mr. Adams did not meet another black atheist in Washington until 2009, when he found the Facebook group called Black Atheists, which immediately struck a chord. “I felt like, ‘100 black atheists? Wow!’ ” he said.

I feel sad for his mom, but God works in mysterious ways, so I should pray for them both.

Remember Madelaine Murry O’Hair (sp?) the crazed atheist lady. Her son is a devout Christian. Sometimes God allows moral contrasts to appear, in order to make choices starker and easier to distinguish between.

How about the 20-30 years of his life expectancy gone from choosing his “gay” lifestyle, which is anything but?

Black, white, yellow or brown, a Godless Commie Pinko is a Godless Commie Pinko. These elitist dopes actually do have a religion I would guess. They all look like they worship at Church of Obummer.

You’ll get shouted down if you get anywhere near him with these facts. “Oh, don’t be so negative!”

The goal of this New York Times article is to make sure Blacks vote for Obama again this time. This time they have seen for four years for themselves he’s not a Christian. The Times wants Blacks to like him anyway.

The effect is going to be more to disgust blacks. They aren’t too happy with their poofters. Whites are more forgiving.

“She told me she was more bothered by that than the revelation I was gay.”

Sounds like his mom has her priorities straight.

The NY Times catalyses all degenerative and destructive ideas, and trumpets all new dissipative memes, with their highest goals being the destruction of patriotism and the nation-state, with the triumph of secular transnational progressivism, atheism and, ultimately, the establishment of a Stalinist world order.

How many Black Atheists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

The culture feels, quite rightly, that having to genuflect to the black church while otherwise treating Christianity with open contempt is hypocritical and unbecoming.

The Left would prefer to mock black Christians with the same impunity that they mock black conservatives, but they don’t dare at this time. So for now they look at black atheists with deep longing.

It's odd how liberals are soooooooo concerned about diet - sugar, white bread etc - but when it comes to important things like gay sex - they put on the blinders...

Hey New York Times - it's time for YOU to 'come out', grow up and get real... There's ONE standard for health - not a PC standard and a non-PC standard.

“How many Black Atheists does it take to screw in a light bulb?”

Answer: None. They stumble around in the dark and curse Whitey for not providing free light bulbs.

Anyway, the devout Christianity of the black community (where I live, South Carolina) is a reproach to whites, IMO. I pass a large AME tabernacle sized church on the way to my own, and in the morning the black folks are well turned out and dressed to the nines, even the smallest children. They are entering the House of the Lord, after all.

But once again, the MSM has to hype that which is different, just for its own sake.

A black, queer, atheist, which one is genetic?

Pray for the mother, she will pray for the son.

I bet that this progressive skidmark waited until mothers day to break the news to his mother. A lesbian in my family did the same thing to her father on fathers day. BTW, why did this specimen insist on finding a “black atheist” group? I suppose that any ol’ atheist group just wasn't good enough for this RACIST POS

Though I’m certainly not standing up for th mile wide and inch deep culture we see in many American churches where whites predominate, don’t look on a pretty outward appearance and assume that those folks going into that church are hearing or following the real gospel. How many black preachers will tell their congregations that the abortion policies the Dems favor are a genocide on their people? How many will tell them what Margaret Sanger had to say about black people and black preachers? How many will ask their congregations why they’re going into the voting booth and supporting the party of Planned Parenthood genocide with over 90% of their vote? How many of them will tell their congregations that voting for someone like Barney Frank isn’t acceptable just because he has a postition on welfare they like? How many will condemn the hate speech that comes out of civil rights groups? How many will say that if you’re knocking up five different women and leaving welfare to provide for your children you are as hellbound as any atheist and need to repent?

Yes, that is all exactly true that the indoctrinated and indoctrinating journalists today are pushing the same Leftist agenda, but there’s a specific reason why the paper decided to highlight sympathetically a black homosexual atheist. The answer, I think, is that there seems to be just such a person in the White House.

So, when this guy is shown in a sympathetic light - and HIS mother has accepted him, then by inference so would Obama’s mother...and.. so should we. That’s the below the surface message of the piece.
