Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik is insane and should not be punished, an official report has recommended.
The 243-page psychiatric report says the 32-year-old was mentally ill and therefore not responsible for his actions when he killed a total of 77 people.
It says he has developed paranoid schizophrenia and should be detained indefinitely at a psychiatric hospital.
Public prosecutor Svein Holden told a packed press conference that experts had "described a person who lives in his own delusional universe".
He said the report concluded: "He believes he is chosen to decide who is to live and who is to die.
"Breivik stated that he committed these 'executions' out of love for his people. He describes himself as the most perfect knight since the Second World War."
The report followed 13 meetings between Breivik and a team of psychiatrists.
If the recommendations are accepted, Breivik cannot be sent to prison but will instead be confined to a secure psychiatric unit.
The court will then meet every three years to decide if he is still a danger to society.

This is not “only” a report. Normal practice in Norway is that the police and prosecution follow the medical judgement.
A trial will still be held to officially determine his actual guilt or innosence...

In our “enlightened” western culture we protect children and abhore those - such as I have listed above - who prey on them. We have no cultural concept of ‘total war’ such as G-d instructed Joshua to wage. We’re too civilized to do anything like that. It will be our undoing.
I have no particular desire to go out and kill a bunch of kids but if I knew in my heart of hearts that a certain group of people was out to eradicate me and everything I stood for it would be logical to eliminate their young in order to keep them from growing up and killing me and mine.
In some of his testimony this self-styled savior of Norway said that he only shot kids who he felt were old enough to have been indoctrinated by the government, leaving very young ones alone. He was logical about what he was doing... crazy perhaps too but logical.
As for killing him... I’m undecided. It would be nice to be able to study him for seventy or eighty years in a controlled environment. I doubt Norway would do that though so they might as well kill him.

Somebody somewhere would pay big bucks to drop this guy on an island, unarmed, with a month’s worth of supplies and then, at some time during that month, boat to the island and hunt him. They could make it an eBay item and send the money to the victims of this insane killer.
Why should insane people get some kind of affirmative action when they murder? Especially mass murder? They should be tried and executed same as the others.
This is a cruel joke to the victims families. They are being victimized again by leftist cowards. At least in this case it is ridiculous leftists being victimized by their fellow ridiculous leftists. Make that absurd leftists too. This is the cruel theater of the absurd where life has no meaning and by extension, no value. The dead have no value so why execute their killer?
