Norwegian Mass Killer Breivik 'Is Insane'

Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik is insane and should not be punished, an official report has recommended.

The 243-page psychiatric report says the 32-year-old was mentally ill and therefore not responsible for his actions when he killed a total of 77 people.

It says he has developed paranoid schizophrenia and should be detained indefinitely at a psychiatric hospital.

Public prosecutor Svein Holden told a packed press conference that experts had "described a person who lives in his own delusional universe".

He said the report concluded: "He believes he is chosen to decide who is to live and who is to die.

"Breivik stated that he committed these 'executions' out of love for his people. He describes himself as the most perfect knight since the Second World War."

The report followed 13 meetings between Breivik and a team of psychiatrists.

If the recommendations are accepted, Breivik cannot be sent to prison but will instead be confined to a secure psychiatric unit.

The court will then meet every three years to decide if he is still a danger to society.

This is a huge breaking news story in Norway today. It basically means that Breivik can theoretically be a free man in three years, or alternatively be confined for life.

Apparently Breivik expects to be made king of Norway in the future and start up breeding farms for Norwegians organised in reservations...

As an addendum...

This is not “only” a report. Normal practice in Norway is that the police and prosecution follow the medical judgement.

A trial will still be held to officially determine his actual guilt or innosence...

Sort of a clear cut case, but I guess it’s important to officially record the magnitude of the crie.

Guess we know what he has in common with Muzzie jihadists and Obamacare death panels.

Well, at least the Norwegian leftists in charge consistently apply their insane ideology.

The compassionate, reform minded and anti-death penalty leftists here would have waterboarded, racked and drawn & quartered him by now.

If he is freed, on the day of his release I plan to take a short vacation to Norway.

I promise I won't go ANYWHERE near the man.

“Sin is insanity.”

“How could a sane person prefer hell to heaven? And if it takes insanity to make that choice, how can anyone be blamed for it? The same argument “proves” there’s no sin on earth either. All sin is insanity: preferring self without God to God. All sin is a little souvenir from hell. It is crazy. But it’s real.” (Peter Kreeft, Fundamentals of the Faith: Essays in Christian Apologetics, chapter 10).

The German philosophy Friedrich Nietzsche wrote that “to have lost God means madness; and when mankind will discover that it has lost God, universal madness will break out.” (quoted in Sin and Madness, Shirley Sugerman, p. 17) According to R.D. Laing, the Scottish psychiatrist, man’s radical estrangement from God and idolatry of his own self means madness. He writes, “We are in an age of darkness. The state of outer darkness is the state of sin—that is, alienation or estrangement from the inner light.” (quoted in Sin and Madness, Shirley Sugerman, p. 17)

This was my first reaction. Shades of the old Soviet Union.

Breivik is opposed to cultural Marxism/multiculturalism which is being used to foist Islamic colonization and Islamisation on native Norwegians and the rest of Western Europe.

I’d imagine that killing 70 plus kids in cold blood is a damn good definition of insanity.

In Tom Clancy’s book “Clear and Present Danger,” the drug lord who authorized the killing of a man, his wife and two children was asked about the kids. His answer, scary but logical, was something like ‘it’s better than having them come after me in a few years.’

The indians in the South American jungles killed all the boy babies of their enemies, keeping the girls alive for breeding.

Muslim terrorists target schools and school busses.

Japanese soldiers frequently killed all the children in a conquered village, thus ensuring the slow but certain death of the entire village.

In our “enlightened” western culture we protect children and abhore those - such as I have listed above - who prey on them. We have no cultural concept of ‘total war’ such as G-d instructed Joshua to wage. We’re too civilized to do anything like that. It will be our undoing.

I have no particular desire to go out and kill a bunch of kids but if I knew in my heart of hearts that a certain group of people was out to eradicate me and everything I stood for it would be logical to eliminate their young in order to keep them from growing up and killing me and mine.

In some of his testimony this self-styled savior of Norway said that he only shot kids who he felt were old enough to have been indoctrinated by the government, leaving very young ones alone. He was logical about what he was doing... crazy perhaps too but logical.

As for killing him... I’m undecided. It would be nice to be able to study him for seventy or eighty years in a controlled environment. I doubt Norway would do that though so they might as well kill him.

Somebody somewhere would pay big bucks to drop this guy on an island, unarmed, with a month’s worth of supplies and then, at some time during that month, boat to the island and hunt him. They could make it an eBay item and send the money to the victims of this insane killer.

Why should insane people get some kind of affirmative action when they murder? Especially mass murder? They should be tried and executed same as the others.

This is a cruel joke to the victims families. They are being victimized again by leftist cowards. At least in this case it is ridiculous leftists being victimized by their fellow ridiculous leftists. Make that absurd leftists too. This is the cruel theater of the absurd where life has no meaning and by extension, no value. The dead have no value so why execute their killer?

WIKIPEDIA
The Theatre of the Absurd (French: Théâtre de l’Absurde) is a designation for particular plays of absurdist fiction, written by a number of primarily European playwrights in the late 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, as well as to the style of theatre which has evolved from their work. Their work expressed the belief that, in a godless universe, human existence has no meaning or purpose and therefore all communication breaks down. Logical construction and argument gives way to irrational and illogical speech and to its ultimate conclusion, silence.[1]

I agree with your comment, but the actions might be evil rather than crazy. Brevik was able to plan the massacre and conduct himself in a socially competent way, so it is surprising to hear he was in a non-responsible state of mind.

From the start, I have always wondered if he really acted alone. Possibly, a cover up is going on.
