President Obama's slow ride down Gallup's daily presidential job approval index has finally passed below Jimmy Carter, earning Obama the worst job approval rating of any president at this stage of his term in modern political history.

Since March, Obama's job approval rating has hovered above Carter's, considered among the 20th century's worst presidents, but today Obama's punctured Carter's dismal job approval line. On their comparison chart, Gallup put Obama's job approval rating at 43 percent compared to Carter's 51 percent.

I am amazed this sock puppet is still at 43%. What the hell is wrong with 43% of the electorate?

No, it isn’t. Voting for a RINO in order to beat Obama is throwing away your vote. Go peddle your “Just Win”-ism to someone who’s dumb enough to buy it. If Mitt Romney was running against Satan himself, I still wouldn’t give him the time of day.

A rational, logical, unemotional response.

While America sinks, and Obama banks on conservatives not giving Republicans their votes so he can win again, the self-righteous say "No, it's not!"

I didn't say we should sit at home, I said I am not voting for Romney - no way, no how. And 'what makes Obama happy'

One, two (three?) more Supreme Court picks?

Impact our rights for decades to come, long after he's out of office?

Yeah, that's what makes Obama happy.

Amazed how easily manipulated Republicans can be. No wonder why Obama is in office

Face it: People willing to believe that Newt Gingrich served divorce papers on his wife while she lay dying from cancer, will believe any damnfool bullshit. Not only will they believe it, they'll agree it is really ice cream, and they oughta know because by golly they're experts on ice cream. Credulous fools.

Where were you during 2008? We did exactly what you said. Strangely, the "elite" doesn't seem to give a damn or even notice what we wanted or chose. It took 2010 to get them to realize we even exist.

I'm sure that will allow you to feel high-minded and self-righteous about yourself.

As for me, I'm a daffy duck voter. I'll vote for anyone, including Daffy Duck, who runs against Obama.

Amen.

As Ronald Reagan said: “If you go over a cliff with all flags flying, you are still going over a cliff.”

We MUST prevent a second, disastrous term for 0bama.

And it’s obvious that he’s not even trying to get re-elected anymore. Going out 3 states away and telling people that they’re lazy isn’t going to cut it. Zero is like a drunken college student who knows he’s failing out next semester. It’s back to the golf course until he’s told to leave.

And 49% is after some serious grade-inflation. Chris Matthews is asking what the hell Zero is doing, that’s how bad he’s crashing. He’ll always have that 12% that will believe anything, but even the Klintonites and McGovern crowd are seeing that the Glowbama is taking on water and the bilge pumps aren’t keeping up.

Zero made so much money off of his 2008 campaign that he doesn’t need to campaign for a single day. If he was a merely below-average DemonRat, he’d be in like Flynn. He couldn’t get laid in a brothel right now.

Holy crap! I never realized how Nixon also sucked when he was in charge of the economy. Carter’s average was the highest but at least it jumped “only” 54%. When RMN took office the MI was 7.80. When he left in August 1974 it was 17.01, a 118% increase.

Sorry. I should have added Carter’s MI during his presidency jumped “only” 54%.

Amnesty for illegals. One stroke of the pen by Executive Order and this country is done.

Supreme Court won't even matter.

And 49% is after some serious grade-inflation.

Not to mention most of it coming in the first few months of his term... that "honeymoon" thing that held his ratings aloft until reality set in.

-- Lyndon B. Johnson: 44 percent.

Reelecting that corrupt, statist bastard in 1964 was one of the worst acts of self-wounding this country ever committed.
