In 1985 I drove by the kings palace there. even back then it was wall to wall tanks and military protecting their dear leader.

I got there when all their religious leaders were returning from some trip at the airport and the military was walking through the crowd with belts swinging over their heads beating people.

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
...has never before participated in Morocco's governments...
Keep an eye on this; if he tries to bring about amnesty for the various jihadist exiles, like those who attempted to overthrow the monarchy and fled to Scandinavia, that kind of thing, it'll be the beginning of another smooth transition to Islamofascist rule, as happened in Turkey.
