I love bread, but I can’t eat much any more. Have to drastically limit the carb intake.

‘the problems toot sweet. ‘

FYI the expression is ‘tout suite’ or ‘tout de suite’ but not, ‘toot sweet’ - because ‘toot sweet’ must be some sort of sweet drug, and I doubt if you meant that.

When I was in high school back in the 1960s, we weren’t allowed to bring lunches from home either. The soda and candy machines were removed also. This happened when our school, a Catholic school, decided to accept government funds. The state dictated these rules, and our school had to comply.

How did Dahl get a job there? I thought this was a hustle for Mexican Americans only. Or is Dahl the maiden name?

This is what the schools do in place of teaching? It’s no wonder kids can’t read or think...

I hear ya. I can really feel the sluggishness and seem to retain water when I eat high levels of starchy carbs (fruit and vegetables notwithstanding). I used to make a flax seed bread that I would give my dad who is diabetic. He liked it a lot. It is a bit more spongy than normal bread and certainly denser than store bough (about like a dense honey whole wheat, but softer). It might be something you might try.

I did a quick search, and here’s a video of one recipe (I have not tried it, though). I just thought it might interest you, it’s not the same as normal bread, but you might like it (I like flax):

“Principal Elsa Carmona said her intention is to protect students from their own unhealthful food choices.”

Who would have expected anything different? Ony the naive think that fascists will halt their advances. They never stop...ever.....we need to fight them at all stages...

Just remember, “Seat Belts would never be a reason for a primary stop...” yet now we see commercails bragging about click it or ticket!

How about, “we just want to force restaurants to have non smoking sections” Yet now the government, and a few FReepers, brag about getting a legal activity banned from private property....

The government even took control of our physical beings with Obamacare, why should anyone be surprised when they want to dictate what food we consume.

Funny how the giant increase in school meals- sometimes 3 a day— now has a youth of the nation which is considered overweight or obese!!!!

Then at the same time, there is a great clamor for “ all the starving children in the USA”.

IF those kids are going to school & getting 3 meals a day, they cannot be starving!!!!!!

It is all a giant hoax!!!

Clinton declared that the American Disability Act was to cover FAT people, also. He declared that being FAT was a disability.

When my kids were in public school (both in college now), they were lucky because the cafeteria food was excellent so they ALWAYS bought school lunch.

If they ever tried banning homemade lunches when my kids were in school, I WOULD PACK A LUNCH EVERY SINGLE DAY...DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY. They would never be allowed to be forced to purchase lunch!!

Where are the parents in this school system. In my town, this would never stand!

I took my lunch in elementary school. I do recall...a "milk money" thing. I guess they didn't think milk from home would stay cool enough. Heck, I had a cool AquaMan lunch box...with a thermos in it!!! I didn't need the "milk money" option.

The in Jr. High....I brought my lunch in a paper sack. They had a "nutrition" period...where we could buy honey buns and crap. Most of the kids just threw food at the seagulls!! HA!!

When I got to H.S. I walked home for lunch a lot of time. No food was offered at all....at the school.

Frankly I am sick of kids getting 2-3 meals a day at school. It's B.S.

Education’s Armageddon

http://www.jbs.org/the-john-birch-society/education-s-armageddon

Check it out. It is a great article that will let you know why the focus has changed from educating to indoctrination.

excerpt:

Dr. Forgione quotes other worthies such as Jean McLaughlin, president of Barry University, who has long criticized the public schools’ foray into “social re-engineering” at the expense of proficiency in subject matter. This view was seconded by the superintendent of the nation’s fourth largest school district in Miami-Dade, Florida, who complained: “Half our job is education, and the other half is social work.”

It’s more like 61 percent — a combination of attitudinal propagandizing, personality profiling, and mental-“health” screening, as was initially discovered in Pennsylvania’s Educational Quality Assessment (EQA), discussed further on.

I tried a “rice bread.” it had the mouth feel and taste of bar soap. The only way to make it palatable was to fry it in butter...
But that makes most thing palatable.

All you have to do is make sure that there is no pork in the pizza.

(and if there’s beef or chicken on it, it’d have to be halal)

It’s pretty similar to being kosher, except not as strict.

Not the first school to do this. It should not be legal for 1 witch to make this kind of call. I would have starved sooner than eat the smelly crap they served.

Next you’ll have to record what you have for dinner so a report can be sent to Michele Obama.

Yep. To call that crap food is an insult to septic systems around the world...
