Since the "scientifice" case for catastrophic AGW is in tatters the movement is rapidly being re-packaged and re-messaged as an "ethical" campaign.

See the nonsense about Waxman and Boxer launching this propaganda drive today on Capitol Hill.

The public will now be inundated with "ethical" (sic) calls for action. The radical greens don't have to talk about pseudo-science when they can pretend they are holier-than-thou and only concerned about "ethics"....

Yeah, now it’s no longer a religion, it’s “ethics.”

Take a look at the ClimateGate emails (v. 1 or v.2) and tell me about THOSE ethics.

yes, I’ve been reading a bunch of the Climategate 1 and 2 emails on WattsUpWithThat and am thoroughly disgusted with those scumbags!!

Honesty, accuracy, decency, and myriad scientific values have been lost in the stampede by so-called “climate scientists” to promote a radical greenie agenda of CAGW scares.

And here I thought this was going to be a call to address the various ethical breaches displayed in the Climategate fiascos...

The “ethical” thing to do is in fact to collect enough data to determine if emergency action is required. IF that’s the case, we’ll then have to convince China, India and Russia to share the pain, or all we’ll be doing is sacrificing our economy on a Green altar for nothing. At least nothing measurable...

My guess is that the next ten years will be crucial, as we should have a statistically significant pause in the warming by then, or even cooling as the weak Solar Cycle 24 really goes to sleep.

Conservatives have been taught to keep morals and shame out their rhetoric. That is a mistake. For the left they are the centerpieces of their emotional arguments. No reason we shouldn’t handcuff ourselves.

One question for them -

is it “ethical” to push for government policies that destroy people’s standard of living

just so you can feel good about yourself for “caring about the erf”?

"Take a look at the ClimateGate emails (v. 1 or v.2) and tell me about THOSE ethics."

This is an example of psychological projection in reverse.

a big LOL except that this is all rather scary.... and this may not be the ideal timing for them to send a "Penn State ethics expert" to hector the world about "climate ethics" but the Durban fiasco is happening and we have a greenie weenie Penn State ethicist to advise humanity:

Is "Penn State Ethics Expert" An Oxymoron??

this is what their lecture/propaganda at the UN-sponsored meetings in Durban, South Africa was about:

On Tuesday, November 29th, in a seminar organized by Penn State University and the University of Washington on the ethical dimensions of climate change join us to look at two issues.

One, an ethical analysis of the climate change disinformation campaign. We will examine whether this is a new kind of crime against humanity?

Second, we will look at the piratical significance for negotiations in Durban if climate change is understood to create human rights violations.

yes now the scumbags are trying to re-define words so that any opponent of the CAGW fraud artists can be charged with “a new kind of crime against humanity” and “human rights violations”!!!

That is why this “ethics” propaganda front has to be monitored and countered very carefully, bc these radical greenie gasbags want to make it a “crime against humanity” and a “human rights violation” to be implicated in any way in any speech or activity associated with what they will call contributions to CAGW.

“People from all walks of life across the U.S. are extremely concerned about global warming. But progress has stalled because our government keeps debating whether addressing the issue makes economic sense and whether the science is settled,” said Bob Doppelt, executive director of The Resource Innovation Group, and coordinator of the Climate Ethics Campaign.
