Uh, Chris Christie comes to mind...and Newt can lose weight. One thing he could do — pick a young, vibrant, highly qualified VP.

Looks to me like he’s pretty happily married these days. His wife seems to share his values, is even closely involved in promoting conservative principles right alongside him. She’s no run of the mill trophy wife.
Women who “hate” Newt are likely lost liberal women who would never vote for him anyway. I say forget trying to woo the libwoman vote. Thinking (i.e., conservative women) will come out to vote for him.
Just so long as they are NOT divorce lawyers. ;-)

The fat thing he could overcome just as Chris Christie did> The schlong thing, not so easily. It is resume enhancement for a Democrat. It has, at least traditionally, been a career ender for Republicans.
Yes, things could change. But traditions die hard. It looks increasingly likely that Newt will be the default nominee by the process of elimination.
Let's hope his opponents put up some really nasty advertising just to see how he handles it. Because it will be nothing like what Obama is going to throw at him..
Despite what the polls say, Newt will be the underdog. Obozo and his enemedia sycophants will win if they can make the election about Newt, his flip-flops and his schlong management problems. Newt will squeak out a narrow win only if he can avoid the beauty contest angle and keep the focus on the economy and Zer0's gross mismanagement.
