The AP reports that President Obama tried to assuage Jewish supporters during a fundraising stop in New York hosted by a prominent Jewish donor, who had been billed among prospective fundraisers ahead of time as a chance for a "substantive and candid" discussion about concerns in the Jewish community.

When the fundraiser's host, American Jewish Congress chairman Jack Rosen, mentioned "concerns" about the ties between Israel and the U.S., Obama declared, "We don't compromise when it comes to Israel's security."

According to the AP report, Obama said no ally surpasses Israel in importance to the U.S., which Rosen followed up by saying the president's administration has been the most supportive ever of Israeli security.

Well, Israel is not an “important” ally. Much too small for that. Obama, as usual, is pandering. That said, Israel is a state that shares our values and that can be very helpful in the struggle against Islamist terror.

Yesterday there was another thread started with a short NY Post article referencing this fund raiser hosted by Jack Rosen. You didn't have to be clairvoyant to predict that Obama would say there what Politico now reports him as having said.

These Jewish 'Rat fatcats in attendance are so darn gullible and naive, if indeed they really care about the future of Israel. They are probably more interested in crony capitalism and benefit financially from a cozy relationship with Obama's administration.

Well put. And this is nothing new, it's been becoming more and more apparent for decades.

Just compare the current crop of Republican presidential candidates (except Ron Paul, who is a neo-isolationist) with Obama on Israel. Or compare the two major parties' platform planks on the Middle East over the last several presidential election cycles.

The logical thing for these Democrat Jews to do is to quit the 'Rat party and come over to the GOP. But, like drug addicts, too many find it impossible to kick their habit of supporting a party that could ultimately destroy them.

Hopefully, the election of a Republican to the House in a historically Democrat district with a large Jewish population (NY-9) might be the beginning of a long overdue shift.

In the first pic, what do you think he’s looking at with the properly head covered Hillary? Not to suggest that a covering would be worn by Obama as a mark of respect. As I recall his campaign sold Obama kipas, doesn’t mean he wears one.
