My post shows that the government is broken and we again are focusing on a tree instead of the budget. I call my tree at home a Christmas Tree. I call the tree at work a Christmas Tree. But from time to time, I hear someone say Holiday Tree and I just think Christmas Tree. However, as long as we all call it a Christmas Tree and we finally bankrupt the country all is well.

His father Sen. John Chafee used to introduce every year a bill calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment. A WWII vet, the elder Chafee would routinely flaunt his war record in the face of anyone who disagreed with him on any issue.
The junior Chafee’s jaundiced view of the Christmas season is not surprising in the least. He is among the worst of the worst.
I hate those TV commercials where they come out with that “Happy Holiday” stuff - It’s Christmas; they use Christmas themes so it’s Merry Christmas not “Happy Holidays”. What Holidays??????
It seems silly but is more important than it seems. There is reality. Then there are symbols through which we primitively and emotionally connect to reality and truth in a kind of right brain way. Finally, there are words, which are shorthand symbols and more left brain and reasoned ways of relating to reality. When you change the WORDS you are, bit by bit, changing the meaning of things and the truth and power of them.
There is a reason the left always focuses first on changing our WORDS. It is something that seems trivial and something people usually agree to...but ultimately they are changing reality and our connections to our own traditions and our connections to our children and grandchildren with whom we share less and less. Our culture goes on because, though music and places change, buildings are torn down, inventions come in that older people can’t relate to, etc., still we can connect to those things that have stayed the same. Our Valentine’s Day party at school with sugar cookies is like what our grandchild is experiencing, our Christmas party is like theirs and so on. Take away those things and replace them with the “new” things and the connection weakens over time. Lose the word CHRISTMAS and you have lost something intangible, but very real.
Chafee is such a sh**head. Right up there with Harry Reid.
Not “silliness” at all. Think about it - its just another part of their larger socialist agenda.
Not “offending” anyone is only the excuse. If that wasn’t there, it would be on some other pretext.
De-Christianize the country, de-humanize human beings, demonize and distort everything worthwhile, deconstruct our past, and reconstruct the future into the Socialist Utopian paradise.

Chaffee is a Liberal. Liberals are the enemy of freedom, liberty, and basically everything American.
He’s only doing what Liberals do, and we shouldn’t expect anything else out of him.
Know the enemy, and you’re better able to defeat him.
Lincoln Chaffee would enact a holiday honoring King Herod’s ‘heroic efforts’ to murder the Christ child, if it were within his power to get away with it.
Just cancel the entire “holiday” then and have all those godless bastards work on the 25th.
But rest assured, those hypocrites will take the days off to “celebrate” Christmas while at the same time poking a stick in the cage.

I would sign up a Christmas militia to daily gather under the governors window with a bull horn saying “Christmas Tree” non- stop in the lead in to Christmas break.
Good idea! But be sure to bring canned goods EVERY day to give to a local food pantry. The anti-Xmas Governor thinks we should be out doing something more significant, like feeding the hungry, than putting energy into this. We can show him that both can be cared for!

You know, I don’t like calling Lincoln Chaffee “Governor”. Seeing as he is just another liberal A**hole with Power, I’m just gonna call him “A**hole”, or “A**hole” Chaffee.

If so, this governor has really gotten it wrong in a big way.
If you check closely, you will find that Christ celebrated Passover and the Festival of Lights, along with all other Jewish festivals. In fact early Christians celebrated Passover each year until Rome ordered them to stop.
There are elements of Christianity in the modern celebration of Passover that became embedded during the time between Christ's resurrection and the big split between Jewish believers of The Way, and those who rejected the Messiah and established the order of worship after the destruction of the Temple.
Yeshua was probably born in June or July, if Mary became pregnant at the time of the angels visitation in the 6th month as stated in the Gospels. Even so, we celebrate His coming at this time of year.
Likewise we celebrate His resurrection around Passover each year. The pagan worship of Ishtar (exchanging of colored eggs etc.)being tied into our celebration by Rome also.
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and good will towards all believers in the G_d of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. May you have a very enjoyable holiday season. Remember True Judaism and True Christianity are one in the same. Someday our Jewish brothers will also worship Messiah.

Chafee is a brain damaged,inbred piece of crap-he slid into the Governership by a slim plurality in a four way race,and this is only the latest in a series of attacks on sanity by this turd.
He engineered the imposition of in state tuition rates for illegal aliens by having an administrative board illegally sidestep the legislature.
He reversed a previous Governor’s executive order that mandated cooperation between state law enforcement and ICE.
he also eliminated the use of e-Verify to insure illegal aliens weren’t hired by the state or by state contractors.
He tried to expand sales taxes to cover virtually every good and service.
This creature has to be recalled .
The most venal act he pulled was an attempt to force destitute veterans at the state veterans’ home to pay 100% of their income to live there.
It is 80% at the present time and this scumbag wanted to take their last few dollars for cable or pizza or whatever that might brighten their lives a little.
One WW2 vet wished publicly that Chafee would die in office.I couldn’t disagree with him.
The attempt on the veterans failed by the way.
