Last week, on Thanksgiving, President Obama delivered a message to the American people. It ran eleven paragraphs and 503 words. None of those words was God. Obama thanked the men and women who defend the country; he thanked volunteers at soup kitchens. All of that is well and good. Thanksgiving is about celebrating community. But more than anything, its about celebrating the benevolence of God.
At least thats what George Washington said in declaring it a national holiday. The day of Thanksgiving, he stated, was to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanksfor his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation
Take Tebow, give the points.
Obama didn’t mention God because he says were lucky to live in America. Like were lucky he doesn’t take more of our money or were lucky he’s such a nice guy.
Communist goal #27 (from “The Naked Communist”): “...replace revealed religion with ‘social’ religion...”
The Manchurian Candidate stays true to form while America sleeps.
Since the illegal alien is a muslim, he’d hafta’ use the word Allah . . . probably wouldn’t be too helpful in an election year . . .

I don’t think Rev. Wright got around to God’s benevolence in the 20 or more years Obama attended his church. I think it was more of a dam_ing thing Obama was taught.
Fundamental change was not an idle promise..he could have just told the truth in simpler terms, it is the overthrow of our government and way of life.
I had the opportunity to teach my husband’s confirmation class last night. 7th and 8th-graders. I was introducing the Apostle’s Creed and we were talking about what a creed is and why we have a statement of what we believe, so we addressed the issue of why it matters WHAT we believe. I told them about the little boy who had watched a superhero movie and really BELIEVED he could fly, so he jumped off his roof and died. A person can very sincerely believe the wrong thing - a dangerous thing that will end up killing them.
That led into a discussion of the difference between man’s own attempts to save himself and God’s revealed salvation. I told them what awaits them in many colleges and universities: the philosophy that God is just an invented Santa Claus to get people to be good little boys and girls, but if people could just self-actualize, give up their greed, and get along we could create a Utopia on earth...
I think they got it. I think they saw the flaws in both the epistemology/method for discovering truth and the conclusions reached by the post-modern, everybody-makes-their-own-truth epistemology. Sure, a person has the right to believe that a cardboard bridge will get them across the raging river, but that doesn’t mean it will. And the consequences for believing/trusting a lie are drastic. We owe it to ourselves and everybody else to seriously investigate what we believe and why, because truth is real and it matters whether we believe it or not.
If we can get the attention of the kids before the society numbs them totally, there is hope for our society. Reaching them before their minds have been deadened is the challenge.
You, are a good teacher......
How many of them were "I"?
His average is about 25%.
There's already a specific day for that in November.
Barack Obama is not fit to carry Tim Tebow’s jockstrap!
So far....
Obama is a secular Muslim. I highly doubt he believes in God. He is Muslim as a political ideology, not as a faith.
Same thing in his view.
