In an appearance Tuesday at Washington, D.C.'s Politics & Prose bookstore, MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews told a standing room-only audience that his new book "Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero" was important because it taught "leadership," and that's something many people today don't know about - especially under President Barack Obama, Jeff Poor at The Daily Caller reported.

Chris Matthews on the Tea Party: "This crowd doesn't want to deal because they believe the word 'deal' is bad," Matthews said...

When did Obama even attempt to compromise? When the GOP compromised in the past, the only thing they got from the rats was zero, zilch, nada.

There's a video of this boob, Chrissy, at the source.

Where would America be if the original Tea Partiers (and related revolutionaries) “compromised” ‘like Americans’??

His ilk looted this country out of 16 trillion dollars, created a perpetual underclass, zombie legions of takers, and we are the ones that won’t compromise?

I think the Tea Party should compromise. Instead of fighting to the death to cut Federal Spending 30% we should compromise and accept a mere 15% next year.

Just like everything being spewed by the lefties that are out to destroy our America - only the conservatives are required to COMPROMISE. There can only be one winner in this struggle to save America and it won't include COMPROMISE.

When you get right down to it, compromise and accomodation are both forms of moral weakness.

The “no compromising” attribute of the Tea Party is what could save us. If Mitt or Newt does become president, both of whom are too liberal, then we’ll need to stack the House and Senate with Tea Party people just to keep the president in check.

So why do the 20% of the population that are liberal think they have the right to tell the 80% how things are supposed to be done in a democratic/republic type society. Demorats and liberals are the ones that are un-AMERICAN!

What a bizzare statement.

The TEA party is a block of voters.
We vote for candidates, not legislation.
We apply pressure to legislators who vote to raise taxes.
We support legislators who understand that a further increase in taxes damages the country.

Is Chris Matthews suggesting the TEA party voters compromise on who they vote for?

Or is he suggesting that we abandon the application of pressure on legislators, thus making us a meaningless group?

Or does Chris Matthews misunderstand, or purposely misrepresent, who the ‘TEA party’ actually is?

I don’t seem to recall Krissy Tingles blowing a fuse over “deem and pass”, “I won- I’ll trump you on that,” the passage of cap and tax, stimulus, Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, etc. with no (or almost no) Republican votes, endless Executive Orders, and on and on...

To to Matthews, “Americanism” is compromise.

That would mean that America should have compromised with Hitler. America should have compromised with the Japanese. America should have compromised with the Ku Klux Klan. America should have compromised with the Muslim terrorists before they attacked us on 9/11.

All that would have been “very American” in Matthew's view.

the American people have to decide if they want this crowd to run the country because they’re running it right now.

Oh really?

2010 budget, Crybaby Boehner caves and the Dems get higher spending and greater deficits.

Debt ceiling "crisis", Crybaby Boehner caves and the Dems get higher spending and greater deficits. which leads to...

The Stupor Committee, which leads to higher spending and greater taxes.

Now Crybaby Boehner leads the House in voting for higher immigration. Just what we need with high unemployment and a weakened economy.

It certainly doesn't look like the Tea Party is running things, it looks like the Dems are running things, and I include Boehner in this group.

What continues to amaze me is that liberals cannot grasp the very simple principle that you cannot go on raising taxes forever. At some point (and I think we are already past it), increased taxes result in decreased revenues. I'm all in favor of revenue enhancements - like, for instance, unyolking small business from burdonsome regulations, allowing them to make a profit and collecting taxes on that increased profit.

Though the exact point when the amount of taxation produces the highest revenue (see Laffer Curve) may be unknown, I sure as hell know that if you let businesses make a few more bucks, and collect taxes on the profit, you'll end up with more tax revenue at the end of the day. I have no confidence that raising tax rates will accomplish that and, in fact, I think the opposite is more likely.

So Chrissy, we'll compromise. Get out of our way and let us build a bigger pie, take a little smaller percentage out of it, and you can still have more pie on your plate!

JFK taught us quite a bit about leadership. In a battle with the Japanese Navy, JFK fell asleep at the wheel and got his boat run over by a Japanese destroyer.
Reminds me of Henry V at the battle of Agincourt.
“Good King! The French knights are verily approaching! What shall we do?”
“Zzzzzzz......Zzzzzzzz”
JFK....the stuff of legends. Chris Matthews.....the stuff found in dirty diapers.

But since the old Blue Bloods want to be invited to the cocktail parties inside the beltway, they will keep doing the same thing.

Chris Matthews: Tea Party “Un-American” For Not Compromising

Matthews is an idiot. He has no clue about America.
America was never about compromise. It was founded by folks that refused to compromise.
We had a Civil War because we refused to compromise.
We WON World War 1 and World War 2 because we refused to compromise.
We won the Space Race because we refused to compromise.
The we started compromising. We lost the Vietnam War. Our Space program is effectively ended and we ended up with an Idiot that doesn’t even like America as President.
So no Matthews America is not supposed to be about COMPROMISE..............

It’s 2011 Chris...you can quit praying for JFK’s return now.

Oh, btw Chris, you moron, JFK’s policies would garner Tea Party support and your loony left Dems today would throw him out of the party for being too conservative.

And while I’m at it Chris, you sorry excuse for a human being, why is it only conservatives have to “compromise” and always agree with you retarded left wingers? Especially when history proves you brain dead morons are NEVER right.

Reagan compromised and look what happened. If it wasn’t for his cult-level status in the GOP, he would be heavily criticized by honest Conservatives. I’m not bashing him, I think he sincerely believed that he was doing the right thing at the time, but its time to stop these compromises and make serious spending cuts. The SHTF scenario is going to happen eventually, we should take the hit now. Kicking the can further down the road only exponentially increases how bad things are going to get when it collapses.
