News of the vacation comes as Obama said Congress shouldn’t adjourn for the holidays themselves until they pass an extension to the payroll tax cut. The tax cut is set to expire at the end of the year, and though both parties support extending it, they differ sharply on how to offset the costs.

“We’re going to keep pushing Congress to make this happen. They shouldn’t go home for the holidays until they get this done,” Obama said in his weekly radio address Saturday.

17 days of well deserved rest for our fearless Commander in Chief. In fact, we Americans should urge him to add another ten days to sun, surf and sand in his Island paradise. He is like a god and has done so much for our nation. Maybe he will have a luau with some roasted pig and papaya? Then some nice golf. Only costs $186,000 day. Money well spent.
