Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.
We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

Agreed, he has not handled the bimbo erruptions very well, made a fool out of himself on the ubekistan comment and stumbled poorly on the Libya question, not good, not ready for prime time. Couple all of that with the fact that he had a "friendship" for 13 years with a woman, was helping her out financially for 13 years and never told his wife. If nothing was going on and it was all above board his wife should have known about it. Doesn't speak well of his character. Whether there was something going on or not, he humiliated her. If this was a dem - everyone would be screaming for him to drop out, they would be calling him a liar and a womanizer, the hypocrisy is stunning.

I discount the first 8 bimbos and their stories. However, it appears there may be something to the 9th bimbo. I would love for Cain to stay in the race. However, that decision is being driven by his wife. If he wants out of the marriage—or will not support him in his pres. run—Cain cannot win.
I donated to the Cain campaign and wrote many words on his behalf. I don’t expect a return on the investment and don’t feel any angst for suporting him. However, I would hope Mr. Cain has the presense of mind to thank all of us out here who gave time, energy and treasure we expended in his name.
The above assumes he’s dropping out. If he does not throw in the towel ILL assume he is moving forward with his wife’s backing. He will need to reassure me on that point. If I’m satisfied, I will continue to send him money and support his candidacy in any other way I deem appropriate.
For me, what is important now more than Cain getting the nomination and being president is Cain taking on and defeating the liberal media that gave us Obama with tactics like this.
Cain could serve this country far better and far longer if he is able to somehow use this situation to drive a wooden stake through the heart of the media establishment which has sucked the life blood out of our political process.
Oh, please dear G-d, YES. Whatever you decide to do, Mr. Cain, please do this.

The tone is very depressed, dejected, nervous sounding. Does not sound jubiliant at all. This Politico was and is REALLY out to get this guy. Wow. The lib was on a taped interview from earlier. Oh how I would love to see of all people, POLITICO humiliated over this.

Thing is though, if the media had attempted similar tactics against Perry, I would have been here defending him....even though he is not my favorite.

Like Obama's birth certificate? Don't hold your breath. I doubt we'll ever know the truth in our lifetimes. I use the strategy of thinking who benefits most from these tactics. I take a look at how Obama won his Senate seat, and draw my own conclusions. But if you always believe there's fire when you see smoke, go ahead.

Exactly. These tactics serve another purpose for the enemy. They discourage good people from ever considering going into public service. Who in their right mind would want to be subjected to baseless accusations, merely for the purpose of destroying an opponent, truth be damned?

Virtuous or not, declaring in or out, however we feel for him, Herman Cain’s campaign is over. I thank him as a friend and wish him well.
