WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will offer a compromise on Monday to extend a popular payroll tax cut, a fellow Democrat said on Sunday.

Appearing on the "Fox News Sunday" program, Senator Kent Conrad said Reid's proposal would cover the cost of extending the tax cut, set to expire at the end of this month, but he left it up to Reid to provide details on Monday.

While he declined to released any details, Conrad said Reid's proposal would be fully paid for and not increase the nation's record $15 trillion debt.

When they crow about it and give no details, you know it sucks. DOA for purposes of demagoguery.

Everything including the kitchen sink!

Everything EXCEPT cutting spending!

What a bunch of crooked fools!

They know one thing and one thing only when it comes to finances...

Stuff it, you old buzzard. Your bags are packed, the garbage train is pulling out in a year and you're sitting next to Bobo with a front-row ticket.

McConnell will have to have your office fumigated before he moves in...

Much as I'd love to see the Dems lose the Senate and have Reid as "deeply saddened" as Daschle was, I'm not looking forward to having "Tippy the Turtle" McConnell as Majority Leader.

I think he'll push Boehner for Biggest Disappointment in Congress on the (R) side.

Most of them work for their own reelection and war chest, not for the USA. Their mission objectives are about satisfying conflicts of interests instead of serving Americans.
