US school student arrested for 'burping audibly' in class

Washington, Dec 3 : A seventh-grader in a US school was reportedly arrested after he ‘burped audibly’ during a class.

The 13-year-old from Cleveland Middle School alleges that after he burped, his teacher called the school resource officer, who in turn called the authorities to have him arrested for ‘interfering with public education’.

The student has filed a civil rights lawsuit naming his teacher, principal and a police officer.

It also claims that school authorities transported him from the school to the detention facility without notifying his parents.

“They are using petty misdemeanor charges to arrest children in New Mexico,” ABC News quoted the boy’s attorney, Shannon Kennedy, as saying.

The boy’s lawsuit also described an incident early last month when he was allegedly strip searched on suspicion of selling marijuana.

And you realize you’re not getting the whole story, right? Right? Sheesh.

13 years old & selling pot.... I’m guessing they were looking for an excuse to get rid of this kid and I doubt this was the first time the little ‘angel’ has had issues at school.

It didn't say they caught him with anything, just that they allegedly strip-searched him.

Big difference between being accused and found guilty, even though that seems lost on a lot of people at late.

Conduct a warrantless strip search on my kid at your personal peril.

This reminds me of one guy in Jr. High, just the initials of DD. We were in class one time and out of the blue, he raised his hand and teacher asked what he wanted and he asked, “can I be excused, I need to go and take a dump”. It was funny and the teacher responded that we don’t talk like that !

> Dickie P. (RIP) was known to fart in class and turn around and blame the kid behind him. It wasn’t an everyday thing but enough to make school fun. I am laughing with tears recalling him.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

This is an older article I stumbled on today. Seems I missed it first time around.

Someone a few weeks ago said that “Obama speaks power to truth”,

which is very apt.

Obama and the left use the force of government to supress truth telling.

I think the charge was “being a counter-revolutionary”,
since very little education goes on in government school,
but a lot of Marxist indoctrination does happen.

If he “interfered” with that, I can see why the Marxist teacher would have him arrested.
