Trump: ‘Karl Rove basically is a loser’
Daily Caller ^ | 11-6-11 | By Alexis Levinson

In response to comments from Karl Rove that candidates should skip the debate at the end of December to be moderated by Donald Trump, Trump said that in his opinion Rove was “highly overrated,” and “basically is a loser.” Rove says that a Trump-moderated debate would trivialize the process

“I don’t think that Karl Rove is a smart person. I think he’s highly overrated,” said Trump, on a conference call about his new book. “I’ve watched Karl Rove for years. He’s a man who is only after Karl Rove, and he’s part of the problem with the Republican Party.

Rove, he said, “did such a bad job with Bush in that final period of time that no Republican could have possibly beaten Obama or any other Democrat.”

Unless and until Donald Trump runs for election - he is doing the work that the media refuses to do - as a private citizen.

He is a celebrity attention addict - a self-made, rich Bill Clinton.

As the old nursery rhyme: When he is good he is very, very good and when he is bad - he is horrid.

Never been much of a fan of The Donald, but this time he earns five stars from me. It’s the “basically” adverb that really gets me—it’s so, well, so “Donaldian.” I can just hear him saying, “Rove is, well, basically, a loser.”

Couldn’ta happened to a more deserving victim.

I had my eyes opened re: Rove the night he was on Hannity’s show and threw a hissy fit when Christine O’Donnell beat out incumbent Mike Castle in the 2010 Delaware election...Rove was so ugly, it left Hannity speechless...and that’s an accomplishment!...just wish I could get a refund on Rove’s “Courage and Consequence”...waste of money to be sure.

"Rove was the ‘magnificient bastard’ time and time yet again."

Rove's an overated @$$!

In 2000, he inched out a victory in Florida to have Bush barely beat the corrupt clown of a VP of an impeached president.

In 2004 the SwiftVets faught & won the battle over a fraud of war hero who was actually and demonstratably either a useful idiot or agent of America's enemies since Vietnam. And FR exposed his in the tank media in the Rather-National-Guard-Memo capper. Rove/Bush did NOTHING in both cases.

As for the Bush administration's governance from 2001-2007: Cheney was central to everything good (War on Terror & foreign policies). Rove was central to everything rotten (domestic policies as Immigration reform & Harriet Miers SCOTUS nomination).

To a conservative, Rove is even less reliable than Trump. But RINOs always loved him.

ROFL. “Highly overrated and basically a loser”!

Yes, indeed and a smug hater of the TEA Party and our conservatives.

:: The downside, is that Trump is no conservative either, he may not like Rove, but make no mistake, he isn't that different in that he is always always after his own agenda ::

That may explain his past cooperation with the liberals. For quite some time, Libs have been in a position to make his business efforts VERY difficult. Now that the Pubbies are running the House, he feels he can speak out in a "conservative" way without any backlash.

Karl Rove is toxic; Rove is a limp wristed panty waist who’s lost all credibility with the GOP base.

This is like the pot calling the kettle black. Trump is all about Trump. At least I’ve never heard Rove threaten to run for president if the Republican nominee doesn’t suit him, thus throwing the election to Obama.

So it’s ok with you if Trump (who is an egomaniac) runs for president as a third party and throws the election to Obama, just as long as Rove gets embarrassed in the process. I can’t believe what I’m reading

If the Republicans do not nominate, nor does the party apparatus rig the system this time again so that a RINO is the standard bearer, then we will have no problem with Obama and that idiot Communist being reelected.

The ball is in their court. Obama's reelection depends on whether we have a clear alternative to Obama who will reverse Obamanism, not Socialist Lite with an (R) after its name. Yes, in answer to your question. Thank you for asking. It is a question asked every four years. It is never asked nor does it need to be asked, when we have a Conservative standard bearer.

No doubt that if there is one person in America who is capable of identifying that particular character trait, it's comb-over boy.

Tokyo Rove is a moron. He’s one of the reasons I stopped watching the FOX Neocon Channel. (FNC)

Oh, please, I have no patience for anyone cheering on Trump, who is threatening to run as an Independent, thereby assuring the reelection of Obama. Trump threatens this because he's saying that unless the R nominee suits HIM, he may do this treasonous deed.

Well, who gave Trump this kind of knowledge that ANY true lover of this country wants Obama to win if we can't have it our way.

This is STUPID!!!

Trump is a nutcase.

Well, at least you can see that—that’ more than the rest of these lemmings here on FR. They’re more than willing to see Trump reassure the reelection of Obama, so long as they can stick their finger in Rove’s eye. This is childish beyond belief.
