Bob Woodward says sitting next to Al Gore is 'taxing, unpleasant’
The Hill ^ | December 6, 2011 | Judy Kurtz

EXCERPT

Describing an event where he was paired up next to the monotone-talking ex-vice president, Woodward said, “Now, sitting next to Gore is taxing.”

After some laughs from the crowd, Woodward continued, “In fact, it’s unpleasant.”

Woodward offered up another tidbit from the conversation with his dinner companion. The investigative reporter asked the politician, more than five years after leaving office, how much the public knows about what went on during the Clinton administration. Gore replied, “One percent.”

Woodward admitted that revelation made him feel a bit icky, saying, “I kind of died inside and have to confess to having an unclean thought.”

He then dug a little deeper, asking Gore, if the former VP were to write a memoir, how much Americans would know then. Gore retorted, “Two percent.”

Met him once when he was Senator Albert, Jr. Challenged him on his pro life flip flop. Got the condescending sneer.

Ain’t that the truth. If it weren’t for Ralph Nadar, there would have been no President Bush.

The Watergate buglary was essentially Nixon’s attempt to nail-down the ‘72 election through an illegal intelligence gathering operation. Today the Dems hack computers, solicit foreign contributions & use front groups like Acorn to physically intimidate opponents. That’s just for starters. Now their brownshirts are ‘occupying’ Wall Street trying to recreate the ‘60s campus sit-ins. Nixon’s transgressions truly were penny ante.

So Mr. Woodward failed to do his job of uncovering the 99% for the American people because?

Did he fear for his life, I wonder?

Do we know only 1% about Obama because he fears for his life now?

I’d estimate Algore at a size 52 long sportscoat...

Now that Gore is politically irrelevant, Woodward finally gives his true feelings.

Bingo!

And just think, how much the general public knows about what is really going on inside the Obama WH.

There is a direct correlation between this fact and whether the person has a “D” or “R” after his name.

It’s always amazing to me, how through sheer tenacity, the MSM is able to make the most mild problems “scandals” for an R, and is able to bury the most disgusting and dangerous problems for their loves, the D’s. It’s going to be a long time before people really start to understand what a self-absorbed sleeze Obama is. Unless, of course, he starts WWIII, and then they may find out a touch sooner. A touch.

Three things I find incredible:

  1. That Al Gore could actually make me crack a smile with his 2% remark.
  2. That this buffoon came within 600 votes in Florida of being elected POTUS.
  3. That a bigger buffoon was convincingly elected just eight years later.

“What is wrong with the American electorate????”

There’s a reason companies spend so much money on advertising. It works. The MSM is essentially free advertising for democrats. It’s no surprise that people vote for the likes of Gore etc. Gore was made out by the media to be a genius. At the same time they were characterizing Bush as stupid, even though Bush did somewhat better in college than Gore.

Siskel was overweight and the one w/the wild hair ...died in 1999 ...and it's Roger Ebert; still alive as far as I know; but, horribly disfigured from some sort of throat or oral cancer (lower jaw surgically removed). As far as I know, Ebert still hosts a film festival in the Chicago area each year.

This happened some time ago, so I’m going to get some of this a little wrong in the telling. It is still very true to the event when it took place, as far as overall meaning and impact.

Toward the end of the Clinton years Woodward was a guest on a talking head show. During the program he was either asked to compare Clinton to Nixon, or asked to explain why he didn’t investigate the Clintons as he had Nixon. Woodward responded to the question by saying, “Well, the comparison isn’t really valid because there has been no criminality at all in the Clinton administration.”

Woodward has taken credit for taking Nixon down for the good of the nation. With Clinton he says he just couldn’t see the same need. He’s a pathological liar IMO.

When Ambassador Richardson drove Monica Lewinsky around to find her jobs with high level firms, it wasn’t witness tampering? When Washington Lawyer Vernon Jordan interceded on her behalf, it wasn’t witness tampering? They weren’t doing this on behalf of their boss and or client President Clinton?

When over 100 Asian players who funneled cash to the Clintons were called before the Congress/Senate, they fled our nation, and this is not an indication of a massive problem with illicit campaign cash?

Bob Woodard and Carl Bernstein were Katheryn Graham’s little political assassins in the 70s, and nothing more.

With Nixon we found out the 99%, and it was tame by the actions of other administrations. With Clinton we knew 1%, and he was a modern day organized crime figure. Woodward is part of the reason why, assuring folks there was no there, there.

Woodward was, is, and always will be a fraud heralded by the Left for something he never was, someone who cared in the slightest about this nation.

1. It never perked Woodward’s ears when Jerry Parks was gunned down outside Little Rock Arkansas.

2. It never perked Woodward’s ears when Vince Foster’s prediction that he would be dead in weeks, was found dead in Fort Marcy Park about six weeks after Parks was assassinated.

3. It never perked Woodward’s ears that a file was taken from Foster’s office the night of Vince Foster’s death?

4. It never perked Woodward’s ears that Foster’s car keys that couldn’t be found on his body by the police and emergency personnel, were found in his front pocket after an inappropriate visit from two Clinton staff members.

These and another massive number of criminal appearing issues never peaked Woodward’s interest at all.

A low grade burglary is supposed to have peaked his attention with Nixon. LOL, what a fraud.

What is wrong with the American electorate????

Too many "voters" are totally uninformed about the candidates and vote guided by their feelings. We have reached the "bread & circuses" level of electorate.

God help us,
GtG

Yeah, and we don't know crap about Obama either. The GOOD NEWS is the press was able to dig out every bit of dirt there was about Sarah Palin. And the little suck-ups will be able to do the same about Newt. No stone unturned for the these so -called 'investigative' reporters. Well, when it comes to conservatives...

If Watergate had happened while a dem was in office we'd never have know the name "Woodward"...
