I’ve been lurking here since the 2008 election, and I remember when the name of Newt Gingrich was poison around here as recently as last fall. Originally I was a Palin supporter, and then Herman Cain; when Perry announced his run, my response was “meh.” But for the past several months,thanks to the information I’ve found posted here, I’ve come to understand that Perry is truly our best choice——a solid, proven conservative and Christian with a decade of leadership already under his belt. I don’t care about the debate gaffes-—Obama can barely communicate without his teleprompter. And I don’t care about the “heartless” remark, since he has apologized profusely and often. I want a decent man for president with no hidden baggage and no liberal-leaning past. I believe Perry’s the one.
Very well said. I am thrilled you as a lurker were influenced by what we posted here on Governor Perry. Even after all the abuse Perry and Perry supporters have gone through for months.
