I never liked M*A*S*H* when I was younger. When I met my husband he watched the reruns all the time and I grew to REALLY enjoy the show. I absolutely loved Col. Potter, and saw the episodes with him in it before the others. It’s hard to pick with such a great ensemble cast, but I think his character was my favorite of all of ‘em (except maybe Radar!)

May Mr. Morgan rest in peace. Prayers to his family and friends - even though he lived a very long life, and brought joy to many people through his career it still has to be hard to see him pass.

“Be with you in a minute, Flagg. Nice outfit. Clown suit at the cleaners?”

RIP Harry Morgan.

My favorite M*A*S*H* episode with COL Potter was the one where he got the bottle of brandy and he was the only survivor left over from his outfit in WWI and wound up drinking it with the boys from the OR and giving them HIS memories of the war HE fought. That was powerful.

I work with a girl who has never heard of Fonzie.

Aaaaaaaaayyyyyy! Now that's scary. Heck, it will be harder to explain the phrase, "jump the shark" now. RIP, Mr. Morgan, I enjoyed you in M*A*S*H and Dragnet.

THERE’S A LONG, LONG TRAIL

Nights are growing very lonely,
Days are very long;
I’m a-growing weary only
List’ning for your song.
Old remembrances are thronging
Thro’ my memory
Till it seems the world is full of dreams
Just to call you back to me.

Chorus:

There’s a long, long trail a-winding
Into the land of my dreams,
Where the nightingales are singing
And a white moon beams.
There’s a long, long night of waiting
Until my dreams all come true;
Till the day when I’ll be going down
That long, long trail with you.

All night long I hear you calling,
Calling sweet and low;
Seem to hear your footsteps falling,
Ev’ry where I go.
Tho’ the road between us stretches
Many a weary mile,
I forget that you’re not with me yet
When I think I see you smile.

Chorus:

There’s a long, long trail a-winding
Into the land of my dreams,
Where the nightingales are singing
And a white moon beams.
There’s a long, long night of waiting
Until my dreams all come true;
Till the day when I’ll be going down
That long, long trail with you.

Stoddard, 1913.

Miss you Harry P. Well done. Rest in Peace.
