Politics: One former speaker of the House warns another that she will unleash privileged information if the architect of the ’94 GOP tsunami gets his party’s nomination. Culture of corruption, Nancy? Look in the mirror.
Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whose legislative excesses helped spawn the Tea Party movement that made her the ex-speaker, has fired a shot across the bow of former Speaker Newt Gingrich: Win the GOP nomination for president and I will unpack your baggage in public.
Except that she can't and she should know it.
"One of these days we'll have a conversation about Newt Gingrich," Pelosi told the website Talking Points Memo. "I know a lot about him. I served on the investigative committee that investigated him, four of us locked in a room in an undisclosed location for a year. A thousand pages of his stuff."
Gingrich, whose rise in the polls undoubtedly prompted the threat, thanked Pelosi for an "early Christmas gift" after meeting with iconic real estate developer and host of "Celebrity Apprentice" Donald Trump in hopes of a possible endorsement.
"First of all I'd like to thank Speaker Pelosi for what I regard as an early Christmas gift," Gingrich responded. "If she's suggesting she's gonna use material she developed while she was on the ethics committee, that is a fundamental violation of the rules of the House, and I would hope members would immediately file charges against her the second she does it."
Pelosi sat on the panel that investigated Gingrich's alleged violation of federal tax law in using tax-exempt monies to fund Gingrich's allegedly political college course, "Renewing American Civilization."

I’m a Newt supporter and I hate Princess Nancy as much as anyone, but I can’t help thinking that any mud-slinging contest has to hurt Newt more than it does the princess.
She’s not running for prez, he is.
But the bigger question is, if she really has something, why would she bring this up now? Why not wait until after Newt is nominated (assuming)?
The fact that she’s bringing it up now, even before Iowa, makes me think it’s all a bluff.

Exactly why I’m leaning towards Newt. If that psychotic drug addled b*tch takes him on, he will destroy her. She may threaten to reveal his dirt, but God only knows what he’s got on her. Insider info trading, her drug addiction (see my tagline)...I mean come on, the woman constantly constantly constantly displays every symptom of cocaine abuse. My cousin works with addicts and she could not believe the videos of Pelosi. The jaw grinding, the mouth movements, the bug eyes, the hand flipping. It would be suicide for Pelosi to take on Newt and I pray to God she does. This woman needs to be exposed ASAP. It ticks me off to no end how just about every government taxpayer supported employee has to pee in a cup, all except Congress despite the fact that they impact the lives of millions of people. They want to terminate a fireman one year before his pension because he smoked a joint at a New Years eve party 4 months before, then fine...Let’s have Nancy piss in a cup as well.

Only Democrats can have stuff "off limits to the press". For Republicans, everything is completely open.
Newt has to realize that as a given.
Nancy will get the last word here.

She ran her mouth, now she has to release this a little at a time through her Media suck butts.
But: She will release it credit or not and we will know where it came from, but there isn’t a damned thing we can do about it.
I think the dems are trying to get Romney to be the nominee, so the assault is on any other candidate. They believe that 0bama can beat Romney, not so much some of the others.

It’s really hard to believe Nancy is THAT stupid! Talk about opening a can of worms, throwing stones at glass houses, etc. She grew up in corruption. It’s innate.
However, there were those on here (anti-Newties) proclaiming “where there’s smoke there’s fire.” If there’s one thing about Newt’s dirty laundry background that benefits him, it’s the extent to which he was investigated by the Congress. Little new to be exposed.
Ditto the way the media went after him when he engineered the ‘94 takeover. He’s grown a thick skin. They can get as snarky and vicious as they want, it’ll be as water off a duck’s back.
