Log Cabin Republicans rip Rick Perry ad

The Log Cabin Republicans, a gay Republican group, on Wednesday criticized a new ad from Rick Perry in which the Texas governor and Republican presidential candidate suggests "there's something wrong" when gays can serve openly in the military but kids "can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school."

"Our nation was built upon individual liberty and individual responsibility, and open service by gay and lesbian servicemembers is directly in line with the vision of our Founding Fathers," said R. Clarke Cooper, Executive Director of the Log Cabin Republicans. "It is wrong for Governor Perry to assume being a person of faith does not afford one to support equality."

Perry's new ad, seemingly designed to appeal to far-right conservatives, includes a call by the candidate to end "Obama's war on religion."

Maybe the barracks will be nicely decorated!

"Nothing positive was ever built on flaunted sexuality!"

How about HIV positive?

At this point, I'm leaning towards Perry, although I imagine Newt or Mitt will get the nod.

Or perhaps just people who know how human biology works...

The Log Cabin Republicans, a gay Republican group...

They may be Republicans but they certainly aren't Conservative. Sodomy violates God's immutable laws and is contrary to Conservative principles.

May the Lord richly bless Rick Perry for his unapologetic, principled stand.

To Perry supporters: I am glad that Perry supports marriage strongly, and is pro-life. And it should go without saying that many conservatives who are not supporting Perry (including me) would vote for him, AGAINST Obama, if Perry were to become our nominee.

But that said ... I do not understand how can you continue in your boosterism for Perry when he has shown himself to be SO incompetent in the all important exchange of ideas?

And I am not just talking about his little "oops" slip-up. Did any of you watch the "candidates' forum" moderated by Huckabee a few days ago?

This was an excellent non-debate format where each candidate got to have his time alone with the questioners. The questioners were the three state attorneys general who are the lead plaintiffs in challenging OBAMAcare before the Supreme Court (Ken Cucinelli of VA, Pam Bondi of FL, and another AG from OK).

Well even in this non-debate scenario, Perry was a disaster!

Did you hear Cucinelli's and Bondi's post-forum analysis of Perry's answers regarding OBAMAcare? Devastating to Perry.

And before anyone goes off on Cucinelli and Bondi - they are NOT lamestream media leftists. They are flat-out constitutional conservatives and experts on OBAMAcare.

He's right on there. But if he was the leading contender you'd never hear the end of it from the MSM.

Keep telling yourself that Mr Cooper. You might even believe it. But our founders were men and women of God for the most part and homosexual acts are a sin and as such would never have been accepted or tolerated by the Founders. Homosexual acts were crimes for most of our (human beings) history and are still such in many parts of the world.

I thought the homosexuals had changed the name of their mole group.

Obviously the ad seems to be correct or they would not be hedonisticly annoyed.
