Sarah Palin is urging Republican presidential candidates to take part in the Newsmax ION Television 2012 Presidential Debate moderated by Donald Trump.
The former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate made her endorsement in an interview to air Wednesday night on the Fox Business Network. Palins endorsement is the latest high-profile conservative to support the debate set for Dec. 27.
"I think candidates should not be afraid in front of the nation no matter who the host of the debate is, Palin said. What is a bit appealing about this idea of Trump hosting a debate is, consider the diverse audience that perhaps he can attract. It's important that independents and those who are not obsessed with inside-baseball partisan politics, which is most of us, we'd like to hear more of the message of each one of these candidates and perhaps Donald Trump will be able to attract a diverse demographic that maybe has not been as interested in this horse race thus far.
"America needs to wake up to what is going on under Obama's socialist policies and how he will bankrupt the country. I'm looking at the debate as a positive thing because of that fact."(continued)

“I think candidates should not be afraid in front of the nation no matter who the host of the debate is.”
Huh? Typical Palin word salad. Jebus...
Romney has already said he won’t go to this debate...makes you wonder what is going on here...hey if Sarah says this is a good idea...it must be
I say anyone that anyone that doesn’t show up shouldn’t get a chance to run. How do we get to see what they are made of if they don’t show it? I don’t think there are enough debates.
Of course she’s right!
There’s no valid reason for any candidate to decline, unless they’re scared of The Donald......LOL.
I’m not sure why any candidate who entered the MSM debates would skip this one.
Donald Trump, even though he is a rich celebrity businessman, is closer to the people than anyone in the MSM.
It would be better for someone like Huntsman to go to the debate and take on Trump on China than to run and hide.
If I had my druthers, Palin would be the moderator, given that she ain’t running. She’s been MIGHTY quiet since she declined to run. And that seems MIGHTY odd because she was not afraid to speak audaciously before.
Way to go, Sarah! Should be an interesting debate, assuming Romney has the guts to show up. Go, NEWT!!
I’d like Palin to get an invite and/or the chance to ask the candidates some questions. Do this and the record for most-watched primary debate might get broken.
A few years ago I would have disagreed, owing to my old-fashioned sense of traditionalism and decorum. But seeing how these recent ‘legit’ debates via the MSM have been such crass, tacky affairs... plus, the way we see the media twist them to their own playing field, to delibertely make the GOP candidates look as bad as possible... well, the idea of a Trump debate doesn’t sound all that horrific after all. Plus, Palin made the completely valid argument that such a debate would potentially attract a different audience, beyond the typical cable-news junkies.
She’s probably gone a lot further than you in life with her “word salads”. Your comment could come straight from the huffpo. Lib.
Yes, the candidates should participate. And though some don’t like Trump, he’s the one who’s done what needed to be done in taking the moderation of all debates away from liberal MSM types (and Fox is little if any better).
Maybe Trump’s taking the first step will lead to other debates moderated by conservative media figures` in future campaigns.
(And as an added bonus, it pisses off Karl Rove.)
Please do not make light of my Lord and Savior. Thank you. If that was not your intent, I apologize.
I agree as well.
If they’re not afraid of the vipers that some call the MSM, then why not participate in The Donalds debate.........
I think The Donald will be more on page with the candidates and not try to trick them into a “gotcha” that is highly unfair and one sided.
I also think that he’ll give them a fair shake in regards to time but that remains to be seen.
I want to see the candidates in ALL sort’s of comfort levels whether they be crappy moderators or hosts or balanced or what-have-you.
I agree. Trump will be better than the alphabet networks who are carrying the water for Obama.
Everything is relative...
Palin....Palin....rings a bell but I just can’t put a face with the name.
Obviously, something happened.
Attack libs not people like Palin who (for example today on fox) skewer Obama. We need people like her, you and I can type but she talks to millions.
Sorry, I couldn’t get past your first incoherent “sentence”. Try again...
I say Palin is turning into a dumb bulb or is trying to shove all 2012 candidates under the Trump bus to preserve her chances for 2016.
If we ever have a revolution you’ll be the one talking about grammar, what a putz you are!
>> Obviously, something happened.
Too soon to say. Staying quiet after the disappointing announcement is not necessarily a sign of adversity. Could be a matter of deference for the candidates.
I rather doubt that much of what she does is influenced by money or ego. If that was the case, she’d have run for president even knowing the presstitutes were lying in wait for her & her family. She has had 24/7 attacks from academia, Hollywood, the nutroots, the media, RINOs, Team Obama, the DNC, Cable TV, etc. since 2008. They burned her church down with people inside of it! Unless we’ve gone through something like that, we have no idea the pressure it causes. People here who said she led them on weren’t going to pay for a platoon of expensive bodyguards. I’ve worked as a bodyguard, bouncer and guard and know how expensive it can be. Just a ho-hum bodyguard costs $50/hr.
Another idiot, you.
Sorry...but I don’t understand the picture. Little Orphan Annie, maybe? Nevertheless, have a good night since I’ll be turning in soon.
So true...well, actually I do care what you have to say, but Stormer, the latest Palin hater, ot so much.
And ACU has endorsed it, and Ralph Reed, "Faith and Freedom" has endorsed it - et al.
I imagine Romney is not going to because his handlers, the Establishment Republicans of the Washington Ivy League Elitist Club are afraid of a debate they can't control.
This is shaping up to be what may be the most watched debate of the campaign.
Newt's debate with Cain - all others declined - was very well received by the public - and shot both of them to the top.
Newt is end-runing the debate formula of the candidates lined up like little school kids in a spelling bee being grilled by the enemy media, the libRats and the Establishment Republicans. They have thus controlled the outcome to push their chosen candidate to the top - for decades.
the "Trump Debate" is scaring the bejeebers out of them.
I'm taking out stock in popcorn.
Mark you calendars. 27 Dec, NewsMax.
and I am gleefully looking forward to the debate cycle in the general election...with Newt and obama. He's changing that formula too - to the Lincoln-Douglas style. I suspicion it's already causing certain people sleepless nights.
I am sorry that Palin broke your heart by refusing to run this cycle.
Yup, just anoter idiot. Thanks for the proof!

I wasn’t “implying” anything. That post made me think you were mentally retarded. I grew up near several families with Down’s children and would never mock them. You, on the other hand... And don’t start that “I was her biggest supporter” nonsense. You arrived here AFTER she decided not to run, so we have no idea what your view of her was. It’s like those letters to the editor that start with “As a life-long Republican..” and go on to trash every GOP candidate back to Abe Lincoln. You’re pretty much assumed to be a troll until proven otherwise here. Is that fair? Maybe not, but life isn’t fair.
But, but, but.....The Bloviator vehemently declared tonight that Obama is NOT a socialist.
Now, who are ya gonna believe, Sarah Palin or that populist weasel, the Obama-defending, closet liberal, Bill O'Strich?
Ted Baxter is right about as often as that proverbial blind pig.
Time to put the glass down, push away from the keyboard and go to bed.
So again you mock Sarah’s son by calling me mentally retarded. Keep digging. Can you read my tagline? You think I could like Cain but not Sarah? Again, I made a joke. Sarah would’ve chuckled. She would’ve ripped you a new one and you have it coming. Ever hear of just saying,”.I screwed up”. Go back to pulling wings off flies.
I think if a declared presidential candidate gets credible threats on his/her life, SS protection kicks in. Obama get SS well before the nomination and I think Cain did, too.
Yet another idiotic post from yet another moronic PDS sufferer. Groan!
Hey, talking about “incontrovertible ego”.. you are talking about yourself here, right? Looking at your posting record, no one displays symptoms of “incontrovertible ego” more than you do.
Perhaps you will also explain how a Trump(who's TV programs or on NBC)sponsored GOP debate has anything to do with Palin’s contract with Fox.
That is a pretty delusional statement, completely unsupportable by facts. Just wow.
I agree as well.
Watch the interview as she takes down Obama, then shoot your mouth off. Support a fighter. Or support her target.
