Newt has undergone a major religious awakening/conversion, which he has talked and written about extensivly.

This is part of the core message of Christianity—that you can change; that you can put your past behind you and start over fresh.

The measurement here shouldn’t be what Newt has done over his entire life, but what he has done since his religious conversion.

Somehow the repentent sinner routine he has adopted just in time for his presidential run seems a bit calculated to me. I think his reputation as a rather churlish, ruthless, ethically-challenged partisan isn’t going to wear well with the independents and disaffected Dems we’re going to need to oust Obama.

My issue with Cain wasn’t about ‘other women’, but about his protection of the US and his support of Israel. Those two issues for me have not changed and Newt is on the right side for both. That being said, even if the National Enquirer is true, he would still be a better POTUS then bobo the magic assclown. Just sayin’.
