OSLO, Norway (AP) -- Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkul Karman says she believes the pro-democracy revolts that have swept the Arab world will help "drive out" al-Qaida terrorists.
Karman told The Associated Press on the eve of Saturday's award ceremony that the autocratic leaders that were toppled from Tunisia to her native Yemen created an environment where extremism could grow.

Al-Qaeda won’t be “driven out”, so much as the Muslim Brotherhood, who originally granted the franchise and supported it through thick and thin for the past twenty years or so, just withdraws its financial and logistical support, and takes over the functions of international terrorism. Now that they have several states to use as a base (Libya, Egypt and soon Syria), they no longer have to hide out in tribal enclaves, and may openly exercise their agenda to create the Worldwide Caliphate.
Which will be based in Jerusalem, as soon as the Jews can be driven out of Israel, and the land reclaimed as Palestine.
