Remember the Gerald Walpin affair? Republican Sen. Charles Grassley does.

Walpin was the inspector general of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the organization that runs the AmeriCorps service program. In June 2009, Walpin received a call from Norman Eisen, who was then the Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform. Eisen told Walpin he had an hour to either resign or be fired.

Eisen's call appeared to violate the 2008 Inspectors General Reform Act, which is designed to protect inspectors general from political interference. The Act requires the president to give Congress 30 days' notice, plus an explanation of cause, before firing an inspector general. In Walpin's case, the White House did neither

So now Holder and Eisen have both used the Clinton defense before Grassley.

During the 2008 presidential race, Eisen bundled between $200,000 and $500,000 for Obama.

This type of crap reminds me of Clinton’s Travelgate. Poor Billy Dale was falsely fired and accused of embezzlement, all for the sake of hiring a relative to take over the White House travel office. Hillary was involved in the firing, then lied through her teeth about it, and was found to have made factually false statements by Independent Counselor Robert Ray. Of course she was never charged with anything.

"Lie, lie, lie and the MSM stays quiet."

Don't you know that lying to Congress depends on one's state of mind? Or at least that's what Eric Holder says.

We are no longer a republic. Even our representatives don’t believe in the rule of law.

For all of the indignation being displayed in the responses to this crap, I would wager that none are willing to oust their own representatives and senators as the ultimate means of a protest. Until you and the people you associate with are willing to accept that the R and D next to their names are simply interchangeable with the old game of good cop / bad cop, your indignation is laughed at.

Just look tot the recent revelations about virtually all of them using their insider information to enrich themselves through the stock markets making perfectly legal for themselves but illegal for everyone else.

PRIMARY THEM ALL!

York should have updated today’s story to refer to FORMER Oakland Mayor Johnson.

This whole story is only the tip of this WH/Administration’s corruption iceberg. And what are they getting? A slap on the wrist and one more thoroughly corrupt Ambassador representing the United States of America. Gotta make your heart swell with pride. /s

Take a good look at obama’s appointees. All commies and radical america haters. You can tell a lot about a person by the company he keeps. This stunt was one of the first in a series of obama’s “let’s get even with whitie” moments. This was a shoot from the hip, F-U I am the president and will do whatever I want trips by obama. As he as showed more of his radical socialist democrat rear end to the american people his pole numbers have gone down in the sewer, where they belong. It’s all over politically for these frauds in 2012. Most of them will be lucky to avoid jail.

No nation can survive such duplicitous behavior from its leadership.

We've survived a long time with it, probably our entire history.

Democrats get an automatic “do-over” and are excused. Republicans get a special prosecutor and a few years in jail. Apparently the Republicans accept that because they aren't trying to change it. I hope Grassley doesn't have any problems because he will go to jail if he gets caught.

I’ve been voting AGAINST my own reps for years...of course I live just outside of Seattle so we’re talking about Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell and Jay Inslee.

A friend and I were talking after the last election and realized that “our” candidate has not won since Reagan took the state in 1984! How sad is that? (Also explains why a state with tons of natural resources and lots of creative people is hopelessly mired in financial ruin-nothing like one party Democratic rule to totally screw up EVERYTHING!)

“Inaccurate” seems to be the buzzword of the Obama Administration ! Seems to be the most used word by USAG Holder in his series of testimonies before Congress. It certainly was manifestly evident Thursday !

Still, I suppose it seems better to them than admitting to outright dad-blasted lying ! >PS

Opposite corners of the country (Jax, FL) and we have so many so-called Republicans from the SE that are what I was ranting about. There are also others in many other corners as well and we as a people must have the guts to clean house before we expect anything to get any better.

"It is now my understanding that I answered a few of the questions inaccurately, although at the time I thought they were accurate. Of course, it was not my intent to mislead staff in any way, but to the extent that I was unclear in my responses, or that my declining to answer questions created confusion, I regret it and I sincerely apologize."

Do dems have this crap written on a little card like the cops have for the Miranda Warning? If so, they could call it the "Obama Stay-out-of-Jail Card".

Sounds just like the crap Holder pulls.

I just asked out loud the other day whatever happened to WalpinGate with Obama.Obama fired an IG because he found wrong doing with MO.Obama and americorps/Obama can’t fire an IG because he does not like that the investigation pointed his way in wrong doing. But he did and got away with it.And now fast and furious IG findings will be politically tainted in favor of Obama.

Hardcore 40% + Brilliant, Intellectual Independents +
Really Really Smart Progressives = President Obama in 2013.

It’s not the frauds who are the problem it’s the members of the electorate who elect them, continually.

IMHO
