Where Have Our Cojones Gone?

FRiends, as a lifelong resident of Massachusetts you have no idea how much I worry about ever having to use my night-stand sidearm in the way God intended.

Should I pop some intruder inside my house, there is absolutely no question that I would face the full legal workup. I could be covered with defensive wounds, or even fighting for my life in the intensive care unit, and still they’d prosecute me every crime they could dream up. Assault with a deadly weapon would only be the start.

Self-defense? Castle Doctrine? Never heard of either in Massachusetts. And I’m one of the lucky few to hold a License to Carry, which allows me to own and even purchase (if it’s on the Secretary of State’s “approved” list) handguns.

You have no idea.
